[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this Tide Original HE Turbo liquid detergent for my laundry. Overall, I think it is good value for money. I like the larger sized cap and the easy to read measuring bars on the cup. My complaint would be that the smell of the liquid detergent is quite powerful and leaves my whole laundry room with such a strong, lingering scent. I find it to be especially strong when the clothes are wet and transferring them to the dryer, and while the dryer is running (scent escapes through the dryer vent). As a result, I try to use just a little bit of the detergent so the smell won’t be so overwhelming. Hopefully my clothes are still getting clean because normally I would use more than what I am for a full load!

Best detergent. The scent is clean and not too strong. Gets my clothes clean and removes dirt. It can mess with the color of cottons if the liquid touches the fabric without water. It is best to apply this in the soap dispenser if your washer has one. If not, i recommend applying this away from your cottons, or start the wash cycle and apply it by diluting the liquid in the water that starts filling your washer.

I always use Tide--my favorite laundry detergent. My husband accidentally bought this. So problem # 1 is that the packaging does not make it obvious that you are not getting the Original ordinary Tide which is what I like. I used the stuff anyway because I was too lazy to take it back. It cleans just fine but I cannot stand the smell--I had to wash everything again to get it out and some of the "scent" is still lingering. Ick.

Ok, this will be a little lengthy but stay with me and hear me out. I've been using Tide laundry products for over 40 years and I was around when liquids came on the market and I used them so I know what the fragrance was like back then. When I first started using the liquid Tide in the early 90s it had a unique but simple fragrance which smelled just like a strong soap. Then as the years progressed, people complained that they didn't like their clothes smelling like "laundry soap" so the era of "fruity, floral, disgraceful scents" was born and every detergent manufacturer followed that trend and folks were happy but I was not so I went back to powder AND another brand. Then folks got tired of of heady, headache inducing aroma of "flowers and sweet tarts" recently and wanted something else; hence it seems that Tide has reverted back to the old scent of Tide liquid with just a few minor adjustments to the fragrance. I decided to try it and I was very surprised to find that it had that old familiar soap smell with just a hint of "perfume" but not the sickeningly sweet fragrance from just a short time ago. When the proper amount is used per load of laundry, clothes come out of the dryer with just enough fragrance to notice but not enough to overwhelm you. In conclusion; each generation that gets introduced to Tide's line of laundry products will always have some gripe or compliment. Those of us who were around when the original scent of the powder and later the liquid are really the ones who notice how much or little the scent has changed over the years. P.S. The only reason I gave 4-stars for value is due to the price still being one of highest among laundry detergents but still pretty good since I'm still getting Tide's signature clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is some really good liquid laundry detergent. It's concentrated so a little goes a long way. It takes a just a bit to clean a load thoroughly. It smells really good to and the smell lingers on my clothes for awhile.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family loves the original tide. There’s a reason it’s the industry standard. The scent is something that takes me back to my childhood. My mother used the powder when I was a kid. Now that I’m an adult the liquid is much easier to use because we have a front load washing machine that is high efficiency. I always see the budget brand detergents but still go to tide because it’s just better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first time o opened the box it smelled wonderful. I washed my daughters blanket and throw blanket and it came out so clean. My dog loves to sleep on her bef and he leaves his scent behind, well it took the smell right out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did 5 loads of mixed wash in cold water that consisted of whites, darks, lights with Tide Laundry Detergent that was provided for the study. My conclusion is the whites and darks that were loaded with dirt, grease, grass stains, bad odors came out nice, clean and smelling good, the lights still had food stains on the shirts even after do a pretreat before washing but smelled fresh and clean!!

Tide Original smells like purfume now. P&G is so incompetent that they will not listen to the customers. They tell you to buy Mountain Spring which is hard to find in stock. I've told my local stores multiple times to order more, but hasn't helped. I've changed to Gain after using Tide since 1980s. Thanks for companies that are too big to fail. So ignorant and mind-boggling.
