I just finished setting up my GhostBed. It took me a whole day to get it completed. The reason was that the GhostBed Foundation was my worst experience ever (for a 'some assembly required' product). The assembly more resembled a DIY project. Materials used in the foundation frame were substandard, warped, split, broken and cracked lumber. Slats are supposed to be 2 3/8" inches wide, but if they are cracked, or missing some width, with bark still attached, GhostBed will still use them. Manufacturing tolerances don't exist since Corner Bracket connectors between end rails and side rails, as well as center rail connectors were misaligned, out of square, and up to 5/8" off from where they were supposed to be. The slats to hold up the mattress weren't long enough, and any pre drilled holes (if they were drilled at all), weren't in the right place to intersect and connect to the center rails below. When assembled (as manufactured), neither of 2 center braces, and one of side rails did not fit. Three of the rails (out of 4) were a full 5/8s of an inch above the end rails when they should have been completely flush. how After calling GhostBed customer service twice on the matter, I told by their on line voice mail, that there would only be a 3-minute wait (and on my second call, a 4-minute wait), but I was disconnected both times after waiting 20 minutes or longer before being disconnected. Realizing that it took 11 days for the bed to arrive after I ordered it, and I didn't not want to wait any longer for another foundation to arrive that may be in a similar state of poor quality, I decided to take the foundation all apart and re-drill, and rebuild it myself from scratch. I needed to re-glue several load bearing rails because they were cracked completely through, and re-drill more than 1/2 of the predrilled slat holes that hold the mattress up. I also had to re-drill and remount corner brackets and center rail connectors so that the frame would fit together properly and sit flat on flat bed frame. GhostBed may make great Mattresses, and that's why people buy them, but don't buy a GhostBed Foundation for their Foundation will not meet your expectations. Most buyers would be appalled. I suggest that GhostBed be more selective in its lumber sourcing, and start using a Jig in its Foundation manufacturing process to ensure that there is some semblance conformity and quality that comes from your factories.

So far foundation is great. No squeaks and everything seems very solid. A vast improvement from the box spring it replaced. It is light and easy to assemble, great if you have a narrow stair case and need a king or queen box. I'm only giving 4 stars because I haven't had it long enough to test long term reliability

Great product, ordered the queen size bed foundation. Ordering was simple and shipment came in a timely manner. Instructions were easy to follow, and with a power drill it was quick to assemble. The workmanship of the pre-assembled wood parts was ok, some of the pieces were misaligned, however I only mention that because I prefer every piece to be perfectly aligned and straight. But in the end when it is all assembled and the cover is on, it doesn't really matter all that much. Foundation functions as expected, and supports our queen size ghost bed.

The Frame is quite well built and solid. It took a few minutes to put together but overall quite intuitive. We mainly chose this frame due to its weight capacity which is quite higher than competition. One concern is the design of the slats. Each metal support is approximately 6 inches apart. This is almost double the recommended distance between slats for most memory foam mattresses.

Recently bought a new king size mattress and purchased the foundation to go along with it. Upon receiving the shipment, my wife and I unboxed the foundation to get started, only to notice split slats, pieces of wood that barely fit and the shipping box appeared to have been walked on, which may have led to the broken wood pieces. I did receive a full refund on the foundation, so that's done. The mattress on the other hand looks well made and we've been sleeping peacefully so far.

been using it for about 3 weeks now. The foundation creeks a lot...every movement triggers a creek (i weight 200 pounds , it should handle that weight) It also keeps slipping on my wooden floor. Would be contacting customer service soon to identify my options and figure out if i have go a defective one or its just the way it is.

I ordered and timely received a twin GhostBed foundation. It arrived on time, all the pieces were included, and it took very little time to put together. The guest who used it was extremely satisfied (and she's a tough critic), and liked it much better than the previous foundation we were using. I put together an IKEA foundation aa few years ago, and this GhostBed was far simpler, easier, and a lot more stable. I am sure my son also appreciated that the ease and simplicity of assembly kept my frustration level low. The only improvement off hand I can come up with is to make the print embedded with the pictures in the directions a bit larger. I recommend this foundation for someone who wants a quick, easy to assemble, stable foundation. It also comes with headboard brackets (that I didn't use) if you want to connect a headboard.

We've had our Cal-king GhostBed All-in-One Foundation for about a month now and it's great. We love that it was delivered right to our door, and that it was SUPER easy to put together. It's light, but sturdy. We like knowing that our GhostBed mattress is resting on a foundation that was made especially for it - no need to guess whether our GhostBed mattress will be adequately supported. Reasonably priced, too.

Received all ordered items in a fashionable manner. Everything was packed well and made it through shipping with no issues. The box spring was simple to set up. I am a bit over the top at times so I utilized Wood Glue and additional pilot holes/screw for completion. The simple fact that the boxspring has a removable cover and can be washed is amazing in itself. Overall great experience thus far, no issues with supporting the King GhostBed. - Josh

I was a little skeptical at first, buying the foundation; especially after YouTube reviews, but I’m glad we did! Yes it did come with a piece broken off, but it did not affect the quality, or sturdiness of the foundation. SUPER SIMPLE to put together! Just make sure you use a drill, and it’s a lot faster!
