As an alternative to the traditional box spring—typically paired with innerspring mattresses—the GhostBed All-In-One Foundation works well with all types of mattresses, including memory foam, latex and hybrid. While both are designed to support your mattress, a foundation uses evenly spaced metal slats that support your body better than traditional springs. The All-In-One Foundation replaces the need for a traditional bed frame.

Does the GhostBed All-in-One Foundation replace both the foundation and frame?
Absolutely! Remove the legs to function as a traditional foundation on your existing frame, or keep them on for a full, free-standing bed frame. The All-In-One Foundation gives your mattress the support it needs, while the 2-piece adjustable legs elevate your mattress off the floor at just the right height.

Made in Taiwan, not USA

I bought this foundation after being unable to fit my traditional boxspring through the staircase leading to the downstairs of my new house. I read lots of reviews, one of which stating that the product was made in the USA. That said, I was sold. Unfortunately, however, that was some false information as the item turned out to be made in Taiwan. Other reviewers were correct when they stated that the assembly instructions were useless. Mechanically inclined, I had to lay out the pieces and work out in my mind how they were intended to be assembled. After that, assembly was a breeze. All in all, I am very happy with this product and will never buy a traditional boxspring again. This one offers excellent support, looks nice and can be broken down and packed up with ease. I would buy it again if unable to find one actually made in the USA.
