a pretty good duster
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think it is so true that the hardest part about Spring Cleaning is just getting yourself started. Once I got going, I was on such a roll, and I didn't want to stop until I'd finished at least one whole room. I delayed for so long. I got this Swiffer like a month ago and kept putting it off and putting it off, and time was running out and I got an email saying my bzz score was going down, and that finally inspired me to start cleaning. I am grateful to have this campaign in the very least because it go me off my butt and taking a look at my house and what needs doing. I got the Swiffer Duster, and I was excited but my father actually kind of psyched me out. He said dusters are worthless, they just move the dust around. I stayed optimistic anyway, but probably he was about half right. I don’t blame Swiffer or think Swiffer is a bad product- my mom uses the Swiffer mop sort of thing, the flat bottom and you just slide it across the floor, and she loves it and raves about it and thinks I should get one. I would not recommend this Swiffer as ardently as she recommends the mop, but I don’t think its Swiffer’s fault, I just think my father is right and dusters don’t really work. I tried to use it right off the bat on the top of the fan, but there was too much dust and I would’ve had to replace the duster more than once just to clean one fan, so I got out the vacuum and held it in the air and stood on a footstool and vacuumed the stop of the fan first and then went at it with the duster as like a polisher, not as the primary way of getting rid of the dust, and then it worked. It would NOT have been effective on its own. But then, there was a lot of dust there. Maybe it’s meant for less heavy-duty problems, just over a table-top or something casual like that. I like that the duster is disposable and that you get four, I think. It’s true that a duster is worthless after using it the first time, and I wonder how people used to clean them. The pad stayed on and didn’t slip while I was using it, which I worried about. I like the bendable handle, which I think is a clever idea. It will work for the top of my bookcase and shelves and so on. I will use up all my replacements, and I might buy more depending on the price. I don’t know that I will add it to my cleaning routine. My vacuum did most of the work and we have paper towels that we use for dust usually- why is a duster better than just a rag or paper towels. I just think this duster adds an extra step and I don’t know if it is effective enough on its own to justify it. For example, for the fan, I would 1) vacuum it 2) Swiffer Duster it 3) get out a paper towel and some cleaner and polish it until it’s fully clean and a little shiny. However, do I need step two? I tried one fan with the Swiffer and one without, and the one where I used the Swiffer I obviously had less dust to deal with in step three, using the paper towel, and I guess it got less in my face. I was so afraid of having an allergic reaction after using this, and the Swiffer pretty much contained the dust, although some was not stuck to the cloth and was pushed off the fan and onto the floor, which I then had to vacuum up. But anyway, I don’t know that I see significant difference with/without step two, using or not using the Swiffer.
Life Saver
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always liked the Swiffer brand but have never tried their dusters. I got a dusters starter kit and absolutely love it. It extends so I can now reach my very ignored fans. I couldn't believe how dusty they were. I had tons of fun going around the house and cleaning out all the cob webs in the corner. Clean house here I come. I was extremely surprised with how well the duster works. It didn't just throw the dust everywhere it held on to it and went in the trash can, making it easier for me since my son has breathing issues.
It did a GREAT job of dusting the ceiling fan!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I loved the Swiffer Dusters Starter Kit for lots of dusting jobs, It was especially helpful for grabbing the ugly dust bunnies from the ceiling fans. Usually when I try to dust the ceiling fan but hunks of dust fall everywhere, including in my bed... gross! This traps even the worst dust bunnies!
Best Duster ever
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the NEW Swiffer® Dusters. Swifter dusters are the only duster we ever buy. It's perfect for all dusting needs. I use it for my classroom that gets VERY dusty/dirty quickly. At home we use it everywhere. I love the 360 especially for ceiling fans. My kids even like using the duster.
Dust go away!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try the new Swiffer Dusters Starter Kit. I regular use Swiffer products at home to clean my floors, but never as a duster. The most convenient thing with this product is that there is a handle on it and that the handle is adjustable. I was able to not just clean my hard to reach ceiling fans (without a ladder might I add), but able to dust the bottom AND top of the ceiling fans with easy. It was so fast and quick to dust and clean things! I also found that my allergies were not affected while dusting around the house, which made it more impressive to me. I also went around my house, cleaning and dusting my window blinds as well. The fact that the dust attachments are also disposable makes it super convenient for me as well. Well done Swiffer! I will definitely be purchasing this in the future to add to my household list.
Great Duster!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For places I can reach, I dust with a wet rag. But, the places that aren't so easy to reach, the Swiffer duster has been great. It has a long reach, which I like. And I have also found it is really great for getting all the dust from posters. It is lightweight and does a good job getting rid of the dust. I am really pleased with it.
Great duster
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Swiffer Duster 360 is everything it is cracked up to be and then some. My hubby saw the box first and opened it right up. We haven't been in our house long, but it was awesome to use the duster to clean the cleaning fans, and the top of the cabinets. Places I try to pretend don't exist because they are so difficult to reach. With the little extension that is included and the way the head can rotate it was awesome. Will definately continue using it. Way to go Swiffer, I love their wetjet also.
Makes dusting easier !!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 360 dusters make dusting easy and is quicker than dragging out my vacuum. It totally exceeded my expectations. I can easily bend it to clean in literally any nook or crevice. I am around 5 ft 4 inches tall and find it sometimes hard to reach the fan without my husband's help, with the extendable handle however I can easily reach it and do not need to stand on a chair either. The flexibility of the duster works out great. I can easily reach the cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. The duster is great too and does not leave any residue behind like some of the cheaper ones I have used before. It picks up dust without scattering it again onto the surface. All in all a wonderful handy tool which has made the dreadful job of dusting into a pleasant experience.
Swiffer Duster Starter Kit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this product works really well! My ceiling fan which is too high to reach was covered in dust. The long extendable handle of this product made it possible for me to reach the fan blades. The fluffy fibers grabbed the dust like a magnet and did not let go unlike feather dusters.
Allergies and dust no more
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm extremely allergic to dust and used to dread doing the dusting so much, that I would let it build up which just made the situation worse. Now that I can do this chore "from a distance" with this extendable handle, I'm dusting every week for the first time in my life. The dusters do the job quite well. Also cleaning the ceiling fan has never been easier and it helps in cleaning that. Does some dust fall from the fan, yes but because of the length of the handle, you don't have to be right underneath the fan. If the alternative is putting off the cleaning because you don't feel like getting out a ladder, this is the better option.
