I recently bought a Sterns & Foster Estate Mattress from a major retailer. The first week we had the Mattress we were very happy since it replaced a 23 year old Mattress. At the end of week two we began to see a small sag in the middle of the mattress and it generally got worse over the next ten days. Now mind you myself and my wife weigh a combined 300 pounds so we know it was not a weight issue. Beginning of the fourth week we went back to the retailer with several pictures of the sagging which was now visible by the naked eye. After some haggling with them whether we were using our discomfort reselect we selected a different brand mattress. By our own measurements this mattress developed a 2 1/4 sag within one month of purchasing it from the retailer. I am very surprised this happen with a great American Company which has been around for 150 years. I have numerous photos which I wish I could post to show this obvious manufacturing defect.

It has given me the best nights sleep I have had in years. I have a bad hip and chronic back pain this mattress has eased the pain greatly. It is made well. The mattress also has handles that make it easier to move.

I have terrible low back pain and on my old mattress I'd wake up in excruciating pain and have trouble getting up out of bed. With the Stearns and Foster mattress I am sleeping better and waking up in very little pain. I definitely recommend this for someone with back pain.

I have chronic pain. My new bed has helped greatly. I can more easily get comfortable when trying to fall asleep. Before I got this bed, morning was especially painful because my muscles were always stiff and it took some time to work out the tightness. Now this is less of an issue. I am very happy with my purchase.

I must say that it came at the right time. I'm currently recovering from surgery and waited until it was safe enough for me to switch out my old mattress with this one. As soon as I laid down, I knew that would be the first night I got a decent amount of sleep since coming home after my procedure. With my old mattress, I was constantly trying to turn over due to the springs being extremely uncomfortable which wasn't a good idea for someone who was in pain. I love the Fleur de Lis design on the mattress since it's a symbol that represents my home state. I really like how my body "sinks" into the bed especially after a long day BUT I do wonder if it will hold up after some time has passed. This concern could simply be due to the mattresses that I'm use to so I will definitely pay attention to it. If I had to choose a different type from this company, I would go for the Lux Estate Medium because of the added materials which are perfect for people like me who could really use the cooling cover and Tempur-Indulge Memory Foam. For the price, I would've never been able to purchase it myself, but I would certainly recommend it to people who can afford it. It is too squishy and is far from firm. It is also extremely hot to sleep on. It cannot be flipped, however we do, because the side without the foam is more comfortable and less hot. In short, you'd be better off financially and loads more comfortable buying a futon and sleeping on that. This mattress has changed my life by causing me to wake up every morning with a backache. I haven't had a good night's sleep since we purchased it. I am tired, achy and grumpy. There is absolutely nothing to love about this mattress. Don't be a fool! Save your hard earned money and spend it elsewhere!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress is really great. It is firm enough that I do not sink into it, but it isn't hard either. It is thick enough that all of the new sheets fit it too. I hadn't had this brand of mattress before this one and I wish I had tried it sooner. Other mattresses I had in the past were always too soft. This mattress being firm is going to help my back pain and I'm already sleeping better. I am sure that it'll hold up for years without giving me any problems. Disclaimer: I was given this mattress for free in exchange for this product review.

We bought the softer SF mattress and was disappointed that the pillow top began to crater after just 3 days. After 60 days, we just couldn't roll out of the crater and decided to get the other mattress that didn't have such a thick pillow top. Now that we've got 30 days into the Estate mattress, it has maintained it's firmness. The problem is that it's way too firm. I am buying a topper in hopes of getting some releif because I can't sleep on it anymore, just too painful. I hope the premium topper provides a better durability thank the SF first mattress. I just can't take it.

I enjoy a firm mattress, so that is what I got and I am completely satisfied. I expected to be a little uncomfortable as I broke the firmness in a bit, but I didn't experience that. From the day it was delivered, it's been like sleeping on a cloud. A very firm cloud. LoL. This mattress has all but eliminated my back and hip pain. I would recommend this mattress to everyone. Seriously. My son and I fight over who wants to sleep on it. LoL. It is worth every penny, I promise.
