Crab cakes are one of my specialties so was excited to try a new brand and I am glad I did as it will be my new go to when I make them The crab is extremely fresh tasting and is so good you can eat it right out of container its not fishy at all like some are This is really good crab meat .

The Tran is fully cooked and ready to use anyway you like. Once opened the product did not have a fishy odor to it and was jampacked with delicious lump crab meat! I tried a few pieces right out of the container, and I thought the flavor was very good. later, I use them in crabcakes and it couldn't have been more delicious! There is only a very little bit of water or liquid in the container so when it says 16 ounces of lump crab meat, you are getting 16 ounces

I love that it is ready to eat and no cooking is involved. We used it to make crab dip and it was so good! Meat would be great to make crab cakes with as well. It was absolutely delicious when I stuffed it into shiitake mushrooms to make stuffed mushrooms. I also had the tasty crabmeat for breakfast with my scrambled eggs. So many delicious recipes that this absolutely delicious crabmeat will enhance.

I have purchased several of these. Every package has "lump" meat on the top of the package and more shredded meat below. The meat on top of the package is very different from the meat below. I believe this is intentional and designed the deceive the shopper. For that reason, deducting two stars.

My husband and I used the meat to make crab cakes and they turned out nicely! This crabmeat is very fresh tasting for grocery store bought crabmeat.

I bought this lump crab meat the day before New Year’s Eve. It had a July 2024 use by date. I decided to make crab cakes today and it smelled like the worse case of foot odor someone could have. The meat looked fine and this is the first time I’ve used lump crab so I was unsure what it was supposed to smell like. I premade the crab cakes let them sit in the fridge for a few hours and the smell dispersed from my home but when I went to cook them it came back with vengeance. There no way I could feed something that smelled that awful to my family. I plan on taking thermostat container back to Sam’s and getting refunded.

This crab meat is tender and sweet and I couldn't help but eat a few bites straight out of the container before I even prepared it in food. It's slightly buttery flavor is what gets me every time.
