I quickly went through and and did not find any shells. It's the consistency and shape of canned tuna with a handful of larger lumps. It kept moisture after cooking and was really good.

I saw bits of what I thought were shell, and when I took a bite, there were tiny pieces of shell, which was a bummer. The machines they use should be better than that at separating shell from meat. However, the taste was very good!

I do not like breaking down a crab and then worrying about if there's any shell mixed in with the meat. This crab is already broken down and ready to be added to a pasta or your fave crab dish.

The Tran is fully cooked and ready to use anyway you like. Once opened the product did not have a fishy odor to it and was jampacked with delicious lump crab meat! I tried a few pieces right out of the container, and I thought the flavor was very good. later, I use them in crabcakes and it couldn't have been more delicious! There is only a very little bit of water or liquid in the container so when it says 16 ounces of lump crab meat, you are getting 16 ounces

It's been a while since I've had a crab cake sandwich, so I decided to use this to make some crab cakes. The meat had some lumps, but it wasn't jumbo lump like I'm accustomed to. I do like how this was already cooked and you can just use it right out of the package, and none of that waiting in line at the seafood counter, just grab it and go. It was nice to have a somewhat similar taste of home. It's hard to find good seafood now that I live in Nevada, so I'm thankful to Sams Club for offering this product.

I'm semi new to fresh shredded crab but I know fresh seafood when I get it and this was excellent . I made shredded crab rolls and it was excellent !! perfect flavor not chewy and you get alot of meat in this container! very happy

I love that it is ready to eat and no cooking is involved. We used it to make crab dip and it was so good! Meat would be great to make crab cakes with as well. You can smell the freshness as soon as you popped seal. I sat and ate 1/3 the can soon as I opened it! I would highly recommend anyone give this a shot if you love crab meat. I would definitely buy again.

I have purchased several of these. Every package has "lump" meat on the top of the package and more shredded meat below. The meat on top of the package is very different from the meat below. I believe this is intentional and designed the deceive the shopper. For that reason, deducting two stars.
