This was packaged very tricky by placing lump crab meat all around the sides, bottom and top and in the middle ( the bulk of the contents) was mushy "special crab meat" It was very salty and did tasted awful.

I bought this a couple of days ago and it is totally a fraud. Almost all the meat was shredded, not lump and the taste was dreadful. This is the worst crabmeat I have ever purchased ANYWHERE!!

Disappointing in that there wasn't much flavor at all. Really didn't taste anything like crab. But at least I didn't find any shells. Won't purchase again.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Upon opening the package, The metal came off oddly. I almost cut myself , but luckily, didn't. I saw bits of what I thought were shell, and when I took a bite, there were tiny pieces of shell, which was a bummer. The machines they use should be better than that at separating shell from meat. However, the taste was very good!

I have purchased several of these. Every package has "lump" meat on the top of the package and more shredded meat below. The meat on top of the package is very different from the meat below. I believe this is intentional and designed the deceive the shopper. For that reason, deducting two stars.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Member's Mark wild caught lump crabmeat is a delicacy and high quality. I like that it's fully cooked and ready to eat. The meat was sweet and succulent. It tasted wonderful mixed into cream cheese for a spread. I didn't notice any crustacean pieces. There are 5 servings per container (1/3 cup) and it'd be perfect for crab cakes. Two things to be noted. First it's a product of Indonesia. Second, be careful after opening the plastic. Even though there's a metal pull-top underneath the plastic top, the product leaked a little. Not sure if it was condensation or crab juice. Final thought, the silver standard sustainable seafood makes me feel better about eating crab. I'm definitely buying this product again for special occasions!

I'm semi new to fresh shredded crab but I know fresh seafood when I get it and this was excellent . I made shredded crab rolls and it was excellent !! perfect flavor not chewy and you get alot of meat in this container! very happy

I love that it is ready to eat and no cooking is involved. We used it to make crab dip and it was so good! Meat would be great to make crab cakes with as well. My husband and I used the meat to make crab cakes and they turned out nicely! This crabmeat is very fresh tasting for grocery store bought crabmeat.
