We have used the same set of TakeAlongs Squares for many years. While this is not good news for Rubbermaid sales, it has been very rewarding for us. They were inexpensive to begin with, but have paid for themselves many times over. We use them daily for food storage in the refrigerator and for transporting salads, rice-and-bean dishes, pizza slices, and casseroles for lunches at work. They never wear out, and they are easy to clean and to store.

They are made with quality materials and a great buy. I would recommend to my friends. They are easy to open and close and that's a plus since I have joint pain in my wrist.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These products are great for packing my lunch to work. I have flipped my lunch box upside down dropped it. Never had a leak. Yhey fit perfect in my lunch box and stack very handy. I heat them in the microwave and wash in dishwasher never had a warped lid yet. Also they work just to store left overs. Love this product.

I have been using these containers for quite a while and I really like them. I read my local flyer for a food store and they are advertised as disposable. Are these meant to be used once and tossed?? I didn't think so. I even put them in my dishwasher and they are very durable. I think the market ad is misleading. Am I right?

I love these little bowls with the twist on lids. They are a great size. I feel the lid is really on securely when I put salad dressing in these to take to work. I can just toss them in my tote without a worry about whether or not I absolutely got the lid clicked on tightly. They also fit nicely in the dishwasher. I just wish Rubbermaid made this style in more sizes. Plus, the lids are easier to find in my pile of similar lids!

I bought this set back in January. This plastic is hard...not really flexible, if that makes sense. I've already had two of the lids crack while trying to make it fit securely onto the container. And try getting any grease off of these containers...IMPOSSIBLE!!! Think I'll spend more money and get something with better quality.

Several years ago, we bought a Rubbermaid set like this and love it. We wanted to add to it. However, they have changed the design and materials. The plastic seems thinner, the lids are hard to remove, and the lids don't snap together for storage. Worst of all, most of the lids had one or more extremely sharp points that weren't deburred in manufacturing. I cut my wrist with one of them. We have since filed them down for safety. Finally, the outer bin was warped because of the tight strap around the unit. We used a hair dryer to heat it and gently urge it back into shape. The one positive is that the containers come in a good variety of shapes, sizes and configurations.

I love the Take alongs Twist and Seal!! They are the perfect size. I use them for everything, snacks such as grapes and nuts, cereal on the go, in my home office for small items such as paper clips ,coins, tacks, buttons etc. They are see through, colorful and inexpensive . I really like the twist off top. I' m sure I'll find uses for these in other rooms as well.

What a waste of money! I normally buy and use gladware but Rubbermaid is a well-known brand name and it seemed to be a good deal. The listing says the base is microwave safe, but warming up some leftovers for 1.3 minutes caused the container to buckle and warp severely. In addition, the lids do not seal well, it is loose fitting and could not be used to pack food for lunch, picnic, or anything where you would want the contents to stay in the container. Huge disappointment, and a waste of money.
