My husband has to pack his lunch everday for work and these are great for liquids, where it is a small bowl of soup, or pickles he likes to take for his sandwhiches. Other brands of containers have popped lids and spilt, but not these rubbermaid ones. I freeze small leftover portions in them, as use them in the dishwasher. Mine are getting some age and are cloudy, but alot has to do with our hard water and the dishwasher. Highly recomment!

This product is just AWESOME! I've put blueberries, strawberries, etc. in it and it never leaks. I have even dropped it onto the floor with the contents in it at least 3 times and it has not chipped or cracked. It never opened up either. I highly recommend this product!

Was not very pleased after using this product and sticking it on the top shelf of the dishwasher to have to come out with a melted ring around it. Several of these have come out like this. I would NEVER recommend this product to any one. I use Rubbermaid everything else and I love it. Just this one product I do not enjoy.

I've had quite a few of these for a while and I couldn't be happier. Every few months, I buy a 44 lb bag of dry cat food so I keep the cat food in these containers, which I then store outside in a bin. The containers have made it through a few winters in NJ with no problems. I've yet to have on break or become unusable.

I bought a set of pink containers and a set of blue ones last week. My husband and I both used a set each for our lunches - blue for him, pink for me. We had the same food and reheated for 60 seconds. The pink containers we're all fine, meanwhile the blue ones are either burnt or melted. A hole burned through one! I was just telling my husband off for ruining them when I realized after a quick Google search that everyone who bought these blue containers had the same issue. Not cool - it's the first time we use them and how dangerous is that? He probably ate some of the plastic with his lunch. Rubbermaid - there's clearly something wrong with the blue containers.. maybe you should recall them.

I have always been a HUGE fan of Rubbermaid products, seeking them out over any other brands on the market. Was disappointed to discover with the Take Along set of 40 items, that lids were not only flimsy--most in package did not fit containers well. For the lids that did fit, I questioned how well food would be securely sealed if put in a lunch carrier bag. Please improve this product line, I want my favorite brand--Rubbermaid--to do better for us consumers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TakeAlongs Food Storage container set has five 5.2 cup deep square containers and five 2.9 cup deep square containers with lids for both sets. I love the 4 point quick snap and seal. No struggling to put in place or remove and very secure. I use the 2.9 cup size to pack my lunches in to take to work. They are the perfect size. The square shape makes for easy storage and the different sizes give you ample room for all your food storage needs. Great quality products!! These are dishwasher safe ( top rack) and microwave safe just be sure to unsnap/unseal the lid for venting. Just a heads up on these, they do stain. I personally use a non-cooking spray on them and let food cool completely before transferring into them. Keeps them stain free and I never reheat in them if I want to keep them stain free. For those who don't mind the minor discoloration from the varies foods, feel free to store, freeze and reheat in one container for effortless use and convenience!! P.S. Common sense comes into play when freezing foods. Containers become rigid when used in the freezer and like anything else, it will crack/breakage when dropped on any hard surface.

My husband and son both work nights so when I make dinner each night I make a container of left overs for each of them to take to wrok the next day, These Takealongs are perfect size for a man's portion & they go so easy from fridge to microwave - then the eat out of them & we throw them in the dishwasher. I think these were the best invention :-)

I do TONS of holiday baking and a lot of baking in general for work, school, and social events. Rubbermaid has always been an affordable quality choice. That being said, this product did not live up to my expectations. It seemed that the lid didn't work well with the container and was hard to use, when compared to the older style. I am still a fan, but not really a fan of this item.
