Too flimsy

I bought these to put fruit in and liked the twist lock so called leak proof lids. I put cereal in one and milk in the other. By the time I got to work half the milk had leaked out so now I have to use a plastic bag so it won't leak. I'm not very happy with this product at all

I bought these in the new teal blue. I've used them about 3 weeks and one has cracked. They do not feel as thick as the clear ones I have from the past. They were perfect for my refrigerated oatmeal for breakfast. One just didn't last. I've hand washed them only.

Great containers!

I regularly use the 2.9 cups (669 ml) sandwich size container to take lunches to work - all kinds. I like the containers firm click lid, however, the bottom of the container has become gross and disgusting with the surface becoming stained and encrusted with food particles. We always wash the containers either in the top rack of the dishwasher or by hand in the sink. It didn't matter as we can't get rid of this staining and food adhesion. Into the recycling they go after only 3 months. I'm not going to chase Rubbermaid for the cost of these containers but I may not buy their brand in the future. Disappointed

I first tried to put milk in the containter to bring to work for my cereal. Leaked all over, milk half gone. Then I tried blueberries, but even the little bit of juice from those managed to leak out. Now I use the cups by putting them in a plastic bag, what a waste of resources. I find it hard to believe the reviews that say it does not leak.

I bought a set of these a few months ago thinking what a great idea for containing small batches of food to take to work. What a bad idea! In using them for my cereal in the morning, I found they leak. Did I tighten it enough? I could not get it any tighter and the lid was square on the container. So - don't use it for anything liquid. After using it to hold nuts and bolts while building stuff, I needed one this morning for dip. I bought some mixture with guacamole and a bunch of other stuff. I figured - it does move as fast as milk and will be in the fridge at work in about 20 minutes. So - when I remove the container from the bag, the dip has migrated to the side of the container as it did not remain standing upright in my bag. I brought it out and sat it on the desk before putting what needs to in the fridge. It fell over, off of the desk and onto the office floor. You know the office floor that is carpet over cement? Well, the side that hit the floor cracked - sufficiently that some of the contents spilled out onto the floor. The rest of the contents are now exposed to whatever lived on the floor or to the air. You know what air does to guacamole? Needless to say, if I use this container again, it will be back to storing nuts and bolts!

So very very very disappointed in Rubbermaid. We had a bunch of these, older, that I used every day in my "bag" lunch. When it came time to replace them, I bought a couple of multi-packs, in different sizes, because I knew I'd use them. Well, the newer ones seem much thinner and, after a few uses, the edge, where the top screws on, is all brittle and filled with holes. They're fine for chicken+rice, but don't use 'em for soup. They leak all over my lunch bag. Unfortunately, Rubbermaid seems to no longer stand by their product - I don't believe there's any warranty on this product. (They used to offer GOOD, long warranties on all products, which is one reason I bought them.) Just really disappointed in a company and product I used to really like. Disclaimer - before I realized that my set of 2 cups leaked, I bought MORE of these on a very well-known site (can't name it, or Rubbermaid won't post this!) 2 days ago. I haven't opened these, yet, and am considering returning them right away. But the ones in use right now were purchased from another (different) online store (2 cup and 1.2 cup multipacks).

The deep squares are a good size overall--not too big and not too small--making them versatile for my needs, and the plastic of the bowl itself is very sturdy. The VERY FIRST TIME I removed the lid from one of the bowls, however, it snapped off at the corner with the tab. It hadn't been in the freezer, dishwasher or otherwise exposed to unusual temperatures. I realize these are economically priced, but I expect better quality from a brand like Rubbermaid, regardless of the price I am paying.

I was so excited to see rubbermaid carried larger sizes in takealong containers. I love to bake and they are just the perfect size for my homemade rolls and chocolate chip cookies. The colors are great also. The colors are what drew me and there was a bonus small round container when I bought mine. I will be purchasing these for my 2 daughters and daughter- in-law for Christmas presents. I also saw some great new items online.
