I recently moved into a century home in New York, and as such, I don't have central air. Rather than spend the several thousand putting in a central unit, the simplest solution was an ugly, loud window unit. These are not that. They're surprisingly quiet. Especially compared to the portable unit I was using. Like, barely notice it's on quiet. And unlike my portable unit, this keeps my living room cold. Even this past week when temps were bordering 90ºf. Granted, I should have gone with the 10k unit, not the 8k, but it's working. So well that I ordered another for upstairs. And while not the most important aspect to some, the fact it's aesthetically pleasing is a major plus. It's 90% the reason I chose it. It keeping the house cool is of course important, but any window unit can do that. Also, the wifi features are nice. Sadly not HomeKit capable yet, though hopefully that will come soon with Matter. These are the only devices in the house that I need a separate app for. Not a dealbreaker, but will probably get annoying after a while. (Special shout out to the customer service. I had an issue with my first unit and they took care of it. My unit is once again working as it should.)

I love this air conditioner mainly because it tells you when the filters need to be changed and it's simple easy. The front cover is magnetic clean them, put them back on there chain. Let it know that you changed it and it's good. Also it blows air up and so it kind of blows up air up and out and I like it freezing. So all my friends have always complained about the air conditioner in my bedroom when they come in there but not with the windmill because it blows up and out and everybody's fine.

Couldn't be happier. It was delivered FAST, we ordered it when we saw a big heatwave on the horizon thinking it would take ten days to deliver something as heavy as an air conditoner and it came in two. It was easy to install, we've got it set up right next to the bed and it's not too loud to sleep next to. My girlfriend already asked me to replace the old downstairs air conditioner with this model.

The Windmill air conditioner is everything I had hoped it would be and MORE. I purchased it for my son's bedroom in hopes that it would be very quiet (IT IS!) and easy to schedule (IT IS!). Additionally, the unit looks better than I even thought it would - sleek, modern, and clean looking. It works incredibly well, and sounds like a white noise machine. Do not hesitate to purchase, and I will be purchasing a few more over the next few years!

Set up was pretty straightforward , and actually easier than my old window units. I am still unsure how to install the carbon filter : there was no illustration or description of which side of the filter should face outward/inward. Other than that, it was easy breezy!

Purchased a 6000 btu unit for a small home office. Easy setup and nicely designed. Was having trouble with unit cooling properly and emailed customer service. We went through some troubleshooting steps and determined the unit was defective. They sent a replacement that I received 2 days later. No jumping through hoops . Amazing. Thank you Windmill. You have made a lifelong customer.

The first unit arrived…it looked great and was quiet but the room didn’t cool as it should. I reached out to customer service who was very responsive even during off hours. They helped me trouble shoot and eventually determined that a new unit was necessary. The new unit came in and is working perfectly! Fantastic customer service and I am definitely happy with the new unit.

Beautiful unit, aesthetically as well as functionally! Quietly powerful! The installation was a breeze and the installation kit was thoughtful as they provide everything you need…including scissors. The support staff is very responsive and they will guide you until you are completely happy with everything. This is truly a great air conditioner and company!

So far great experience. Sometimes it makes noise when I raise the fan speed. Keeps the apartment cool and feeling fresh. The only thing I would add to the A/C and app is, air quality. Have the ability to tell how much pollution is in the air. As well as how much the double filtration cleans the air since the A/C been on. Other than that I am happy so far with this purchase. The design is so sleek and contemporary and best of all made for New York apartments!
