I love my Windmill products!! The customer support team at Windmill has been so supportive + helpful!! My AC unit was delivered, then stolen from my building. It was terrible! But they were really helpful throughout the process. The unit itself is insanely quiet, like it’s not even on + it’s keeping my apt cool during our first heatwave in NYC. I love that I can control the settings of the AC unit + oscillating fan thru their app! 2 HOT TIPS: Purchase the Onward shipping protection, it was a lifesaver! And purchase the plexiglass option for installation, I didn’t + regret it!

We ordered three Windmill window units for our new NYC apartment (living room, master bedroom, kid's room) and we are so happy! Our super installed them so can't speak first hand to ease of installation but it didn't take him too long to do all three. The product looks sleek and way nicer than the (traditional, old, uggo) units we had removed. We love the app functionality and the ability to share control among household members.

I am so thrilled with my unit it works wonderful. I only had one small issue with the thermostat not registering the temperature correctly but the company's customer service was quick to fix the issue and satisfy me 100%. I would recommend this unit and or company to anybody they really do stand behind their product!

Overall pretty great, it cools really well and since it's right behind our bed I'm happy it's not blowing right on top of our heads. The eco mode is nice, but the going on and off during the night does wake me up a bit. That said, after endlessly searching for a reasonably eco friendly option for an AC, I'm very happy with this one.

Overall this is a fairly nice AC unit for the price point—it looks better in my room and is quieter, than many AC units. However, the temperature gauge—which measures the ambient air temperature in the room—is often incorrect. This is a problem because it means that it thinks the room cooler than it is and won’t turn on. I reached out to Windmill about this issue and they responded acknowledging the issue and basically suggesting I try and mess with the temperature gauge myself, by insulating it, to fix the issue. Not impressed that they are selling an AC unit that they know has this issue.

We ordered the 10,000 and 12,000 btu units of the WhisperTech model and absolutely love how quiet it is, ease of use and installation and you barely know it is on. Will never buy another AC now. The air blows so you can be in front of the AC and not have it blowing on you; thereby increasing the usage of any room.

Looks great - works great! Easy to install. Love that it blows the air up and to the sides - not straight out at you. The app is wonderful - allowing me to start the cooling before I arrive. Very happy with my purchase. I wish there was a through the wall unit like this for my NY apartment.

I like the product, but would like to recommend packaging changes. It would be great to find an alternative for the styrofoam padding as it is virtually unrecyclable. The desiccant packages are also synthetic - would be nice to see a natural material used as a substitute. I like how some (but not all) bags were LDPE (#4 plastic). Would love to see 100% LDPE and labeled as such to help boost the likelihood of recycling or move to using paper envelopes instead. Thank you!

I love my windmill unit. But what I love more than the unit itself, is the customer service. I reached out to explain my issue and in no time the windmill team responded and made everything right. I recommend windmill to all of my family & friends. My next purchase will be purchasing one of the new ultra quiet units.

I don’t yet wish to review the unit because I have not moved into where it was installed. However, the installation was extremely difficult. Because there is a storm window installed, a mounting solution had to be fabricated. It took a master electrician over 2 hours to do the job properly. And, that was with my help. I certainly hope that the unit justifies all the work installing it.
