[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sound and comfort are great. Battery lasts longer than advertised. Call quality is absolutely terrible. If you intend to use them strictly for music or ebooks, they are wonderful. If you also want to make and receive phone calls, look elsewhere.

The BEST ear buds I have ever owned. I don't have to worry about them falling out of my ears. I don't have to stop the music to hear people talking or miss hearing important sounds and phone calls. I could not be happier and it doesn't interfere with my abilities and responsibilities at work.

I received these as a birthday present after mentioning them nonstop for weeks. I’m glad the hint was taken! These are perfect for me. I can listen to my music and podcasts while still being able to hear my husband talk to me, our cat meowing, and the doorbell ringing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great headphones and doing work. I don’t seem to be used in any other environment. Only bad thing about this. Is that when you take phone calls, the voice sounds so low. I barely hear people. I already tried to figure out a way how to raise the volume, but there’s nothing that I can do.

These earbuds fit the exact opposite use case of closed/noise canceling earbuds. Being able to go through all my daily tasks and activities with background music while still being able to hear everything around me is a breath of fresh air. The open-ear design really does make a difference since all other earbuds have some degree of passive noise cancellation so listening to music and hearing a friend's voice an all its clarity is a pretty cool experience. Sound quality is surprisingly very good. I thought having an open-ear design would hinder it's sound quality greatly, but it still sounds very good to me. I usually have these at a lower/medium volume so it's almost like a cafe setting of having music constantly in the background while I talk with friends or coworkers. Once you put these at a louder setting it does lose slightly lose it's privacy, but the details and fullness of the sound really comes through. The fit and comfort is a bit of a learned experience. Since it 'bands around' your ear rather than going in your ear, you really need to find a comfortable sweet spot. When these are resting all the way down on my ear against my earlobe then I'll start feeling discomfort fairly quickly, but if I move it up on the middle area of my ear then I can leave it there for hours. The comfort at this sweet spot is wonderful because combined with it's weightless feel, most of the time I forget it's there. I tried jogging and playing tennis with these on and it surprisingly stayed on. It took a moment to trust that they weren't going to fall out, but eventually I was able to relax and just enjoy my exercise listening to music and bantering my friends at the same time.

From a value perspective, these buds are great. The ANC is the number one reason I got them, and while they're not QC Ultra great, it's close enough that it blocks out what I need blocked out. The next great thing about them is the battery. I can indeed get 8+ hours of quiet listening in ANC mode. Most impressive. I don't think any product in this form factor has this level of endurance. The listening experience is a distant third, and it's good enough. I listen mostly to podcasts and soft music, and these buds deliver. The bad news, and it's a big one for me because this is a primary use case for me. I'd been using QC30s for many years because they're comfortable in bed and last over 10 hours with ANC on. I was hoping these buds would replace the QC30s. They can, but they have a serious flaw: these buds turn off when you're idle for about 15 minutes. I take a nap and go to sleep on buds due to being in a noisy environment. Even if I'm connected to my device and listening to music, they will just cut out and turn off after 15 minutes. This is such a deal breaker. I know it can be easily fixed because the notification message that disables this auto-off function is baked into the software, but is somehow unavailable in the lackluster app that comes with the buds. Very disappointing. I'm hoping Bose fixes this issue soon, because these would indeed be 5-star buds without this issue. If napping or sleeping with these buds is not your use case, these buds will not disappoint. If you do need buds for napping or sleeping, avoid these until Bose fixes it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound is great, they are very easy to use, and I loved that you don't have to actually plug in inside your ears. Unfortunately my first pair stopped working after 2 months. I claim a replacement and the process was easy and fast ( good point). The replacement have been working ok, but I had a issue with one of the earbud that has no battery, not sure why, after charging the case it seems to be working.

It’s a little hard to hear people talking using the earpiece. Playing music it’s awesome and clear. Love that they do t just fall out of your ear like 99% of all ear buds.

I've had my Bose Ultra Open Earbuds for two weeks. These are the most comfortable earbuds I've owned; I forget I'm wearing them! They're perfect for the gym!! I really love the sound quality when listening to music, so immersive and beautiful! However, people have told me they cannot hear me well when we are talking on the phone. For me, it's really about the comfort and especially the music!!!
