I am a product tester who had the opportunity to be part of a user focus group to test the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds. I have been testing them for several weeks and this is my honest review of the actual product. What I liked most about the earbuds The thing I liked most about the earbuds was the impressive sound quality. The earbuds delivered clear and crisp sound, offering a fantastic listening experience. I was amazed by the spatialized listening feature that made me feel like I was in the middle of the action. I could hear the traffic, the announcements, the cashier, and the people around me. The earbuds also helped me relax and focus. I used the Bose Music app to customize the sound settings and choose from different modes, such as normal, high, or low, depending on my preference and situation. A little about me I value practicality and efficiency. While I enjoy good sound quality, I prioritize comfort and awareness just as much. Would I recommend the earbuds to others I would recommend the earbuds to others who are looking for a new way to listen to music and podcasts without blocking out the sounds of the world around them. The earbuds are perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy high-quality sound and open-ear design. The earbuds are also suitable for anyone who values comfort, durability, and versatility. However, I would also caution potential buyers about the limited bass response, sensitive touch controls, and limited customization options. The earbuds might not be the best choice for anyone who prefers a more robust low-end experience, active noise cancellation, physical buttons, and extensive customization options.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this when it went on sale during the holidays and have been using them for over a month now. I mainly got it because I wanted to have something to wear at the office and still hear when someone talks to me. I used to use wired ear buds but had to pull it off every time someone wanted to talk which is frequent for my job. The Bose are just what I needed. I only wear it on one ear. They are very comfortable and I forget I'm wearing them and once drove home with it and didn't know until my family asked about it. My only complaint is the batteries only last around 4 hours. It really isn't that big of a deal because I only wear one and when it needs to be recharged, I use the other one. They do take a charge very fast though.

I purchased this product with high expectations. They are great when it comes to noise cancellation. I have yet to see what else they can do, but they don't stay in my ears. I have adjusted and switched the attachments that came with it. It seems that my ears are to small for the bud to stay within my ear. As soon as I bend over or am constantly moving they slip or fall out of my ear. With the work that I do I can't afford for them to do that. I'll have to try again and look for a product that fit small ears.

I also like that they look like an ear accessory. I love the Carbon Blue color too. I’m really happy I got these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had two pair of the regular earbuds. This is my first pair of the new ones. Getting them out on correctly took a bit - but once on the sound is very good. I often forget to take them off my ears. Very enjoyable - still wish volume control could be on the earbud.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these about 2 months ago and what is very cool about them is you do forget you're wearing them. The type of ear buds that go in your ear have always made my ears very uncomfortable very fast, but these you really don't feel. You also don't stand out so much as wearing ear buds, depending on your hair style, but since they don't have that long part sticking down you don't necessarily look like you're walking around with ear buds on. They also are unlike the other type of ear buds in that they do not interfere with your normal hearing - you hear everything plus you hear whatever you're listening to with your phone which I really like. I have kids and I also like to listen to audiobooks so this way I'm not "off in my own little world." I'm still very present and aware of everything going on around me but listening to a book. If someone talks to me I don't have to go, "huh?" and take out an ear bud and then ask them to repeat. And because you're still so present and they're so comfortable and you forget you're wearing them - they have scared the total crap out of me more than once when I'd get a phone call. One time I was in a public bathroom and suddenly loud and clear and all around me was "Jingle Bells." I jumped but no one else was reacting - then I realized it was my phone ringing with my Christmas ringtone. Really these things are great. I hope that eventually they would be better integrated with iPhone so they'd read my text messages to me, but I think that's just iPhone being proprietary.

I bought my Ultra Open Earbuds couple of months ago. Earbuds are awesome for listening to music - I especially use them during workouts, so I can hear what is happening around me. I love the sound, use immersive audio often, but I have been getting complaints lately from people that the call quality is really bad and they can't hear me properly, so I can't use them for phone calls anymore. I did not get any complaints in the beginning, and I am not using the earbuds in super noisy environment.

My husband bought these for me to replace my AirPods. You all have done spoiled me as I will never go back to buds shoved inside my head!! The sound quality is so much better! And I really like the spatial aspect of them. They last an amazing amount of time before recharge and I can get upwards of 2.5 days of use before the need to plug them in. We are working in getting him a pair as well.

I really wanted to love these as I do all of my other Bose products, but unfortunately the audio is just too weak. When I turn them up, I get the warning on my phone and the audio becomes distorted (and still somewhat weak). Bummer 😞. No where near worth the price sadly.

Softer when wrapped around my middle ear, louder when closer to my earlobe. The immersive sound and auto sound features are great. I bought my son a pair and he loves them as well. Bose is and always been the best!
