[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost, the shape of my ear opening has never worked with Apple Air Pods or buds of a similar design. So the clip appealed to me, as well as the Bose reputation (I have their speakers in my house). The sound is good, though as you can imagine not as "immediate" as something that is in your ear canal. (Wear a wool hat and it gets better!) The tradeoff is you can be aware of ambient sound, which comes in handy. They fit great, very comfortable (no pinch) and have never had one fall off. The controls work by tapping a top button on each bud. I've had to reread the instructions a couple times to remember "how many taps and where" for each function. A big plus is that they hold a charge for a long time. I will use them 10 or more times before needed to plug in the charging case. Another nice feature is the myriad colors you can choose from.

The design of these earbuds is life changing. I can wear my earbuds all day to listen to music or take phone calls seamless transition between activities and still hear my real life going on around me. And if that weren’t enough, Bose sound quality is top shelf, as always.

I use them mostly listening to music while bike commuting and listening to webinars in the office on my computer. The open ear design is great for biking as it allows me to hear traffic around me. They are also very comfortable to wear - I hardly notice that I have them on. Which, unfortunately, is their one drawback. I find that I need to be careful when putting my bike helmet on or off as the straps on the helmet can catch on the earbuds removing them from my ears. The previous pair of Bose earbuds I had were the ones which had both earbuds attached together with a small, 10" wire. That was a bit more secure and prevented loosing a single (or both) earbuds.

The only issue I have is I’ve had to return one pair cause they wouldn’t charge in their case. Bose sent me another pair an they’ve been fine until the last several months where they won’t charge fully any longer. They only charge to 90% unless I keep the case plugged in and charging.

I find its important and safer for me to hear my surroundings especially when I’m alone. I can hear and listen to my music. Both are refurbished and perform flawlessly. The sound quality is exactly what I expect from Bose: rich, full, and immersive, while still allowing me to stay aware of my surroundings on the trail. And the comfort is outstanding. I can wear them for long periods without any issues. Highly recommend, especially if you can snag a refurbished pair.

I really love the fit of the Bose quite comfort earbuds. Other brands hurt my ears, these do not. Amazing noise cancelling. The only downside is that you have to get used to how sensitive they are to touch. Any slight touch will command them, like turning on and off.
