Surprised me! (In a great way)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These earbuds surprised me in a great way. The sound is amazing for being open - on top of that the fit of these are unique but is so comfortable. It feels like you don't even have anything on your ears + they look like cool accessories. Going through your day-to-day life with these on, you're able to focus on the outside world while playing music or a podcast. Would recommend it to everyone. Oh and they're great for being outside running or hiking. You can hear your surroundings!
Fantastic product... In certain moments.
I've had these for a few weeks now, and overall, I'm pretty happy with the purchase. These are good for working around the house and working in the garage when there are other people around and you want to be aware of your surroundings. These obviously struggle in high noise situations such as cutting the grass and on an airplane. I did make the unfortunate mistake of using these to travel with.... They were actually great as I was navigating the airport and going through security... Once we got on the airplane they were almost worthless. Even at full volume I could not hear the movie I was watching. I do like the lightweight feature... I often forget that they're even there. It almost feels like everyone around you should be hearing the same music that you are.
Only one fault.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product about a month ago and use them almost daily. They replace my apple AirPods. The sound quality and comfort are great. The only negative quality is the lack of noise cancellation. Turning up volume allows others to hear what you are listening to.
Innovative Design Meets Exceptional Comfort
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds redefine audio wearables with their unique cuff-like design that offers all-day comfort without compromising on sound quality. Delivering immersive audio while keeping you connected to your surroundings, they’re perfect for active lifestyles and those who prefer an open-ear experience.
Great sound while aware of surroundings
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this product. I do not have any other open ear or bone conduction buds for comparison. I primarily use these for pc gaming so I don’t disturb others around me. I also use them around the house while working on daily tasks. The sound, especially the bass is better than I had expected. I would definitely buy them again as they have met and exceeded expectations.
Great fit and great sound experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These have an extremely comfortable fit for my ear and I barely notice they are there. I've used them while running, hiking, and walking and they stay put. With other earbuds, I was constantly feeling like they were about to fall out; I don't have that worry with these. Most importantly, I am very pleased and impressed with the sound quality! The listening experience with these, even as open model, was better than other earbuds I've been using. I like using both the standard and immersive settings. The only thing that slightly bothers me is having to get the app to pair them with my phone and devices Well worth the cost, would definitely recommend!
Just do yourself a favor and do it
After reading countless reviews that all pretty much said the same thing, I picked up a pair of these for myself. I knew the pros and cons based off of what other reviewers said, but I did not see many actual in depth usage reviews. After using these for the past few weeks, I can definitely lay out the pros and cons to hopefully help others. Pros: 1. Comfort - Every review I read comments on how comfortable they are, which could not be more accurate. However, I have a lot of trouble finding any earphones or headphones that sit comfortably for me. My earlobes are stretched which makes any AirPod like earbuds fall out if lean forward from my plugs. These don't move an inch unless I want them to. It is phenomenal. 2. Sound - The sound is great. I am not going to compare them to the sound on the ProMax or Sony XM series, but for what they are the sound is solid. 3. Awareness - I have been using these the better part of a week in an office setting. Being able to leave them in my ear all day long and not have to pause or remove them to hear is a nice touch. Talking feels much more natural compared to using the transparency mode on other headsets. 4. Battery - The battery life isn't bad. I typically do not use the spatial audio settings so I know that is a big part of it, but listening to them from 10 - 5 while taking calls and listening to music is more than enough for me. Cons: 1. Connection - This is easily the biggest con. The first day I used them, there was a period where the right bud would cut out. I had to put them back in the case, close the case, and manually reconnect to get them to work again. It has not happened again, but will periodically crackle, which might be a sign of another issue. 2. The case - The charging case feels very flimsy. The top moves around much more than I am comfortable with when comparing them to any AirPods case. Costing more than a pair of AirPods Pro while still not having wireless charging, I would like to see something that feels a little more durable. I will not put any features as a con, because I feel like these will get many updates down the line to address any missing features. TL;DR Despite the $300 price tag, these are well worth the money if you like to hear your surroundings, or are looking for all day comfort for even stretched ears
Super Comfortable!!
I have never had the chance to try an open ear earbud before and it was definitely an interesting experience. The fit of the Bose open earbuds is so light and so comfortable you almost forget they are there. The sound quality is good for this type of earbud. I love how easy it is to switch modes at the push of a button. I had no issues using these earbuds while running or doing other gym activities. Battery life was really good. I was able to stream podcasts, take calls and listen to music for a few days before needing to charge the case. You do have to make sure the contacts on the earbud are placed properly in the case. Otherwise one will charge and the other may not. My one con is the Bose App. I often find it very laggy when switching my devices and sometimes it doesn’t connect properly. I hope they provide updates on this soon. Other than that when it functions, having the ability to customize sound is great and the app is fairly user friendly. I definitely would recommend this type of bud if your looking for something with great sound that won’t fall out of your ear when your active. I do wish that along with the immersion it had the same capabilities as the other Bose Ultra line but it’s not a deal breaker these are pretty amazing!
Best buds I’ve ever owned
I’ve had these since they came out and I don’t regret the purchase at all. Sound quality is great, although they lack a little bit on the base end of things. However I don’t typically listen to music for the bass so it’s not something I miss. Take these running with me and it makes it easier to talk to and listen to my daughter, who goes with me, and I don’t constantly have to adjust the volume or press anything to stop the music. They stay in place, don’t slip or move. Recommend for anyone with an active lifestyle.
Bose Ulta Open Ear
I bought these a few months ago to replace my Bose glasses. I really like them. The sound is good. They are very comfortable. I can hear what is going on around me while listening to music. I like that nothing is in my ears. The only down side is the battery life. I wish the batteries lasted longer.
