I was setting up a home office to scan family pictures into albums. I needed quality file cabinets to set a 6' readymade countertop on. These looked great (loved the wheels), but I especially liked the small drawer on top for supplies. The cabinets were well packaged and there was no damage. Adding the wheels on was a piece of cake! Now, if I choose to move my work station that will be filled with files, it will be very easy. Another plus? The price...very affordable.

This file cabinet is pretty cheap (as in quality). It was a good price and I like that it has 2 full size file drawers and a drawer on top for supplies. But when I pulled it out of the box the handles fell off. 2 went back in, but 1 wouldn't stay on. I had to end up super gluing it to stay on. I can see something like that happening after a lot of usage, but to happen right when I take it out of the box doesn't seem right. But other than that it works just fine.

It is lockable. Arrived mostly assembled. It had one dent on the bottom near where the caster would go. The casters went on easily with two people assembling it. One caster plate needed help with a washer an nut to keep in place. Drawers glide easily. Cabinet rolls easily. Only top two drawers lock. Would have gotten 5 stars if bottom drawer locked and had a 5th caster to balance the bottom drawer.

No clue how this actually works. I ordered 2 had them shipped to the store, brought them home and unboxed them. The first one I unpacked had a large dent in the top drawer and the handles were floating loose in the box. The second one I unpacked had large dents in two of the drawers. Not sure how this happened since they looked to have been packaged well and I was careful when I opened them. I put both of them back in the box and returned them.

I purchased this file cabinet for my classroom. I like that it's on wheels so I can easily move it around. Overall this is a nice unit for the price. It is made out of cheaper metal but works for me. My only complaint is that it only came with 3 screws when there should have been 8. I had to go purchase extra screws to attach the wheels.

One week of use...these are definitely light duty. Picked up some for our office in a pinch and although the size and appearance is what we wanted, I doubt they will last. The steel is extremely thin and the lock system is a joke (think soda can pop top). We did not install the wheels due to height restrictions under workstations. The drawers do slide nicely as long as you weight the contents appropriately. I give it a generous 3-star review because I sort of knew what I was getting before the purchase.

It comes w/ wheels to attach to the bottom of the file cabinet but they don't attach very well and got stuck under the bottom of it and made the bottom drawer get stuck I tried opening the drawer and the drawer bent. Made poorly and cheaply. I'd recommend spending a little more and getting something that will last more than 2 days.

This arrived today and it is perfect for my needs (it holds my very heavy Canon mx922 printer!!!). It is light weight, yet sturdy enough for what I needed it for. I did not install the wheels because I didn't need it to be mobile, and it's on a carpeted floor. But, the wheels appear sufficient for this item. The top drawer for small items that are regularly used, is perfect! And the two file drawers are of ample space, as well. And the locking mechanism works just fine. Although I won't be storing items in it that need locked away, as I have a safe for those sorts of items. Well worth the money spent.

I am pleased with the Lorell SOHO 18" 3 drawer file cabinet - in fact, I bought 2. Arrived the next day after ordering - unbelievable - but true. No dents - packaged well. Only problem was attaching the front castors. The back castors attached with a metal plate and worked well but the front ones were difficult - the screws are a bit - a nano bit - larger than the designated hole - in order words I could not get the screws flush - I don't have access to an electric Phillips screwdriver so it was just my own power & I am almost 80. I was pleased I had a Phillips screwdriver - even a manual one. I took a chance and set the cabinet upright - even with a less than perfect situation the castors worked fine. Wheeled each cabinet into my TV room/office and put my printer on top and it looks spiffy. I am more than pleased - only 4 stars because of the front castor situation. Come on Lorell - you can correct this situation very easily - pay attention! Really like the small top drawer for stapler, pens, stamps, etc. - glad I ordered the 3 drawer model.

I needed a file cabinet in which to keep important papers, receipts, i.d. information, etc. This cabinet suits my needs to a tee! My husband easily installed the wheels with his drill driver, and I love the fact that I can roll it from place to place. The hanging files fit perfectly. The key locked the cabinet; however, when I pulled on the drawer after locking it, it gapped slightly on the left side. That was no big deal to me. All in all, I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a home file cabinet!
