The unit doesn't have the longer lasting li-ip battery. Listed as a premium price with outdated battery tech. Competition has similar type units with new tech that will get 2 to 3 times the battery life for the same price. Get with the program guys.

Power went out. Used it to cook and then used it for the sump pump. It went all night and I then used it to make coffee. Very versatile and light. I really like this product.

As a Generac employee, I was invited to test the GB1000 product in exchange for my honest feedback. ** PROS ** • Good layout of ports • Buttons worked well, and were “tactical” • Not to heavy, can carry around • Back pocket helpful • Display visually good • All cords included • Wireless cell phone charger good idea • Power Station can be disposed of by calling IASD • Packaging was well designed, very easy to unpack • Long Three-Year warranty • Weight of unit is reasonable for carrying with one hand • Internal fan has a nice hum to it, like white noise, could help put the kids to sleep while camping. :) ** CONS ** • USB Type A sockets are mounted upside-down • Internal AC power charging supply stopped working after 6 days of use. • Visual indicator that it is charging after it goes to sleep only works in the dark, (not visible in daylight) (maybe add an Orange LED to indicate charging) • Unit does not stay on at very low wattage levels, due to sleep mode. • AC power cord fit is very tight, feels like its ½ way in, and requires Herculean effort to push in/remove it. • Needs a separate “Quick-Start” Guide • Battery symbol info on Display seemed “un-reliable”, discharge times on display are about 14% higher than actual. • Actual weight is 6 % more (1.7 Lbs) than specified weight in Manual. • AC sockets are polarized, which is confusing because doesn't make sense with no ground on Portable Power Station. • Ports, DC or AC, are not Delineated clearly, (maybe add some color). • AC and DC charging cords can be plugged into the unit outlet and inlet at the same time, nowhere in manual does it say not to do this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this portable power station around a couple weeks ago, and I took it with me to multiple events and tailgates, using it as the main power “system” to power all my AC and DC devices, like portable electric grills and phone chargers. This power bank provides a ton of really awesome features, such as a headlight that allows visibility in darker conditions, and a lit up LED screen that allows you to visualize just about how much time you have left remaining for juice. The only real gripe I have is the build quality and materials used. I feel like for being a portable power station, there should be a bit more ruggedness around the whole box. A lot of plastic components around the faces of the devices are exposed, with what feels like little rubber protection on corners and different grooves of the device. However, if you're careful with the device, it feels like it can hold through for many years. In my opinion, this added a ton of value to my tailgates, and now provide an easy way to provide fast power to any “off-the-grid” areas you may run into.
