Gb2000

The GB2000 is a Fantastic unit for what it is, we purchased it going into another Huricane season refusing to part of the chaos hunting for batteries and lighting... While we haven't needed it for a hurricane just yet it has saved me during 2 power outages lasting hours! By that I mean I hook up the fridge, run a small fan and just relax... Obviously during a hurricane food would go in prepped coolers but definitely a lifesaver in a pinch...

Game Changer

Bought this right after the hurricane and Georgia is absolutely wonderful. The charging time is less than a couple hours. However, I have another one but their charging time is six hours. This blows circles around. However, I have another one, but the charging time is six hours. This blows circles around it. I will say to anyone who up this portable charging station will absolutely love it! Genrac truly lives up to its name!

New Camping Companion

Took camping with 100% battery life...charged 2 dead & cold phones = 6% battery. Ran a CPAP and electric starter on a gas powered heater = 28% battery. Filled air mattresses and camped for 3 nights...still came home with 5% battery. Using the solar panel for 11 hours on a partially cloudy day in October in WI, charged battery 46%. Looking at getting a 2nd panel. My friends and family are all looking into getting their own now.

Big Battery capacity

My friend forgot to charge their power bank. This big battery had enough power to fully charge their power bank and had plenty of power left to spare. I had enough to change multiple devices for 4 days and use an electric tea kettle several times on top of that.

Great portable power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can't go wrong with a name like Generac for your power needs. So far I've used it for a camping trip and it worked great. I was able to run a fan and charge 2 phones multiple times without using up all the charge. The wireless charger on top is very handy as well as the light on the front. The screen shows you all relative information about the unit. There are 3 receptacles and 4 total usb ports, plus a round car style port. It looks and feels heavy duty and doesn't weigh too much. I plan to purchase the optional solar panels soon but haven' needed them yet. I'm overall very happy with the power station and look forward to the other many uses I'll get from it.

Useful as a means to ferry power.

As a Generac employee, I was invited to test the product in exchange for my honest feedback. I used the GB1000 while camping with a tent trailer where there was no power on the sites. We camped there for 8 days. I was able to run my 12V electric for 18 hours on a full charge of the battery. The real win was that it was overcast the entire time, so our solar was completely useless. I was able to charge the GB1000 at the convenience station over 2.5h and then simply plug the entire trailer into the battery. That recharged our trailer battery and kept things running for 3 or so days. It was helpful to have constant feedback as to the draw on the battery and the estimated time remaining. Of note, I had the 100W solar as well, but realistically, you'd need 12 hours of direct sunlight to charge this battery. Ideally you would have 300-400W of solar for something this size to be actually useful. Same goes for the 12v charger for use in a vehicle while driving. The battery reported 10-12 hours to reach full charge.

Doesn't charge

Received GB1000 as a promotional product for purchasing 24kw full house generator. The GB1000 doesn't take a charge still doesn't take a charge 24 hours after opening the box. It makes me wonder if I made a major mistake to buy the full house generator now. Service people only offering a power cord as a replacement. That's very sorry Generac.

Terrible features

I bought this generator recently, there's not even 10 hours used and it's junk, will not stay running. I've tried everything to keep it running but constantly just turns off. Don't waste your money on this junk
