When the pool area is full, it is 4"-6" deep. There is plenty of room for 5 or so toddlers- 4 yr olds. I'd recommend putting cushion pads underneath - I bought the ones from Sam's.

They are able to fill it to the rim and both lay in it to get some relief from the heat. They also have used it as as a run and slide pool and it has held up under all the boy energy. Have something on hand to easily inflate it as it does take quite a bit of air.

The materials seem robust and are holding up to escapades of two kids and occasionally mom and dad. I’d suggest getting a pump to blow up the outer ring, I used the blowing feature of my shop vac and a modified water bottle - you will not be able to blow it up with your lungs.

Some how the inner air seal broke and it filled with water not air. I waited till it went on sale this year and bought a new one. We will see if it last longer. The water shots up really high and the bottom fills with enough water to have fun but not enough for the small ones to get hurt when they fall. They love it and if this one does the same thing in the summer I will replace it again next year

It contains the water (depending on how long you let the water run) so doesn't seem like such a waste of water like traditional sprinklers. Holds quite a bit of water for little ones to play in so it's great to let it fill up and then allow the sun to warm up the water with the sprinkler off. Reason for 3 stars, about a quarter of the sprinkler holes on the one we received spray outward instead of inward. If it wasn't for this it would be a 5 star product.
