So many cool metrics

While I realize this is just a scale, it is the best scale out there lol. It's easy to use, looks great, has so many cool metrics, and works seamlessly with the Garmin Connect app and on my Garmin Venu. This scale works quickly and is easy to clean. Overall, another great Garmin product.

Dissappointed

The scale requires multiple (3-6) taps of the foot to wake it. Once awake, it does not recognize which of the two users is being weighed even though we are 15 lbs. apart. (The instructions claim it can tell based on a previous weight which user is on the scale. Both users are paired with the device.) Finally, the scale hasn't updated either of our Garmin Connect apps since the initial weighin.

Great addition to my Garmin ecosystem

Another great Garmin product that lets me monitor my health and fitness. Use it several times a week and it automatically feeds my Garmin Connect app. I found the body fat index to be off but you can update a more accurate measurement in the connect app

Neat tech, but its a battery hog

I love the looks and sleek design. The functionality is excellent, very precise and connects seamlessly to my Garmin app. My only complaint, and it has turned into a large one...it eats AAA batteries like they are going out of style! Seriously...why AAA batteries??? I only use the scale about twice a week, and I have to replace the batteries every two weeks. This has led me to installing and removing batteries every single time I use it, which is a huge pain.

Totally useless

I got it few days ago because I'm thinking to switch from Huawei health to garmin but this scale is money wasting. It does not even read my weight correctly, difference of 700g. If I really consider to change, they need to get a s3 scale on today's technology

Works well

First one would not connect to internet. Called garmin and there tech guy asked a few questions and said they would replace it. The new one came and it works great. The body fat to be accurate needs a dexa scan. I didn’t know that. I have Garmin everything so it works well with the watch and blood pressure monitor. It all logs it automatically. That is pretty cool. I gave it 4 because of the first scale not working and they should tell you about the scan

Algorithms need a serious update

The Garmin Connect app fitness age needs to be updated with a setting to use body fat percentage vs bmi. While the documentation states that the algorithm automatically selects body fat percentage over bmi when paired with the S2, it does not work! When viewing the fitness app widget, it still states reduce BMI to reduce fitness age. Also capping the fitness age to 7-10 years is a flaw. With technology as advanced as it is today, the inability for these products to account for athletic body profiles is unacceptable. In addition, there should be a ruck function that allows one to select pack weight and it should feed data to Vo2 MAX calculations. Please improve your product.

We appreciate your feedback about the fitness age algorithms. If this is a change you'd like to see, please visit garmin.com/ideas to share that request with our developers. From there, they can review your submission and take it into consideration for the future. As for the rucking, Garmin does offer the Rucking activity profile on select Garmin watches, and this data factors into your VO2 Max. Simplicity

I’ve had the scale for more than a year now. Love it. Just like the speedometer on my car keeps me from speeding, a 30 second task brings me the information I need. Effectively staying lean and building muscle takes information. It sits on the bathroom floor. Simple and effective. Thank you.

Nice scale with advanced features

I like the scale. Connectivity has not been a problem in the past few weeks I have had the scale. The real issue I have is with the Connect app and it's lack of trending and reporting specifically for the scale and scale measurements. The app significantly lacks Withings and a few other smart scales that I have used previously. Considering returning my S2 specifically because of it's app interface.

Smart Scale Review

After using this smart scale for two weeks, I'm genuinely impressed with its performance and integration capabilities. The seamless connectivity and health tracking have made it an invaluable addition to my family wellness routine. The standout feature is the flawless sync with the Garmin app. Data transfers automatically and appears instantly in my Garmin Connect dashboard, making it effortless to track progress alongside my other fitness metrics. This integration has significantly improved my ability to monitor eating habits and correlate them with my overall health trends. Having the BMI and body fat percentage displayed together in one convenient location is incredibly useful. The scale provides a complete snapshot of body composition rather than just basic weight measurements. This multi-metric approach gives me a much better understanding of my health progress beyond simple weight fluctuations. The scale is very easy to use and consistently delivers readings quickly. Setup was straightforward, and the daily routine of stepping on and getting comprehensive data has become seamless. This scale has exceeded my expectations. The Garmin integration alone makes it worth the investment for anyone already in that ecosystem. The convenience of having multiple body composition metrics tracked automatically has genuinely helped me stay more mindful of my health habits. Highly recommended for Garmin users seeking comprehensive body composition tracking.
