Sadly dissappointed

I have wanted this scale for years and finally received it for Christmas. As a competitive swimmer and a Weight Watcher, I was anxious to be able to follow all my stats. Unfortunately, I had to return it. It weighed me 1.5 heavy! I triple checked it by comparing the Garmin scale to my weight on the WW home scale, the WW meeting weigh-in scale and my Internist's office scale. All this done with the same clothes on, no food or water before weighing and over about a one-hour time period (yes, I actually went right from one place to the next!!) I spent a lot of time losing 55 lbs. at WW the last few years, and I have absolutely no interest in a scale that is not precise.

Jostle to wake inconsistent

I've set this up to automatically log all 4 members of my household. Only quibble is it takes a jostle to wake it but after that everything works flawlessly. My success waking it has been a little inconsistent - they could definitely improve this piece.

Fun and Excellent scale

Fun scale to see where you at in goal. It nice that it gives you water bone and % of your weight. Not sure how accurate it is but great features. I never really weighed myself often, but I love getting up every morning to weigh myself to see the initial information. Then really digest the details on the Garmin app, before my lunch break.

Looks as great as it works

I'm definitely all about utility and choose function over form, but there's no denying that this scale is a handsome thing and it looks very impressive in my bathroom. Naturally, being from Garmin, it works amazingly well and fully integrates with my Garmin Connect app. It has really helped me to know more about my body and how my various workouts, activities, and dietary choices affect it. I definitely love having it and would recommend it to anybody.

Seemless integration with Garmin connect

As expected from a Garmin produced product, the index s2 integrates seamlessly with the Garmin connect platform. New features like the ability to enter lean body mass from a dexa scan allow for more accurate tracking of body metrics. Overall extremely pleased with the new features over the previous version.

Weight is accurate, and the other body mass measurements are reasonably consistent. Body fat measurements reflect real life at least in terms of which way it's trending. What I like most about this is the different user profiles, and having the metrics automatically sync with our other Garmin devices.

Potential, not executed well

Disappointed in the product, it has a hard time deciding who is who when you step on and then trying to toggle users does not work as well as it should. I think the body fat percentage is off a bit. It also changed the age of multiple users multiple times on their connect app, not sure if that is common. All in all pretty disappointed I was super pumped about using it for my whole family but seems like I need to either return or only use it for myself since it keeps changing my weight when my wife steps on ( she is 80 lbs lighter then me). I am a huge fan of Garmin watches and use it religiously, had high hopes for the scale, and disappointed.

Issues with reliability

I haven’t been able to get a consistently reliable weight. I’ve update per your instructions. I step on the scale after “taping” with mixed results. I had an old (10 yr) Fitbit that worked well but was interested in the features the Garmin offered. I hope Garmin will get the software/firmware straightened out.

Great Looking and Functional Scale

I have had a Garmin Index scale since they first came out. The S2 is more user friendly than the original scale. I really like the ease of use since you do the setup with the Garmin Connect App. My fitness tracker also connects to the app so I can see my health statistics all in one spot. I think being a repeat buyer says it all!

Great scale with nice features

As a tech enthusiast and fitness tracker, I recently invested in the Garmin Smart Scale to streamline my health metrics. My experience has been overwhelmingly positive, with a minor nuance worth mentioning. **Design and Integration:** First off, the scale's aesthetic is a high point. It's sleek and modern, fitting seamlessly into any bathroom decor. The real game-changer, however, is its integration with the Garmin Connect app. The scale syncs data instantly, making tracking a breeze. Garmin Connect's comprehensive dashboard offers an array of information, from weight trends to body composition metrics, all in one place. This level of integration is particularly beneficial for those deeply invested in the Garmin ecosystem. **Customization and Added Features:** The ability to customize what metrics the scale displays via the Garmin Connect app is a thoughtful touch. Personalization in health tracking is vital, and Garmin understands this. Additionally, the weather forecast feature is surprisingly handy. Checking the day's weather first thing in the morning, right as you weigh yourself, adds a layer of practicality to the daily routine. **Sensitivity Issues:** The scale's sensitivity can be a double-edged sword. It powers on with the slightest movement nearby, which, while ensuring ease of use, can also lead to accidental activations. This is a stark contrast to my previous scale, which required a foot tap to activate. A button or less sensitive activation method might have been a more efficient choice for avoiding unintentional power-ons. **Overall Satisfaction:** Despite this minor gripe, the Garmin Smart Scale has been a stellar addition to my fitness tracking arsenal. Its design, seamless app integration, and the wealth of information it provides make it a worthy purchase. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to consolidate their health metrics and streamline their fitness journey. My overall experience has been very positive, and this scale has become an integral part of my daily routine.
