I have an Omada scale and this new scale, and I am very happy with the added features in the Index, especially the bone and muscle measurements, which will allow me to measure improvement over time, and the fact that it tracks to my phone for more detail. The only issue I have is that the Index fluctuates between 0.5 and 3 pounds heavier than the Omada, even when I step from one to the other. The omada is more consistent in day to day weight, so I'm going to look into how to recalibrate the Index if possible or see if stepping on the index in a very specific spot each provides more consistency.

I was hoping for more from the scale. I like that it connects to the Garmin app but that's about it. I hated the fact that you have to wake up the scale. I know, it's not hard, but I don't want to tap all over the scale to make it turn on. My other scale you just have to step on.

This is the second one I’ve bought hoping the first was a factory issue. The bodyfat percentage is more than double any other derive I’ve ever used, caliper tests, tape tests. Forums constantly echo this opinion and Garmin ignores it. It’s demotivating to people and needs to be addressed

It's a very nifty scale and allows me to keep track of various metrics I hadn't even thought about in the past. I'm not sure how accurate the initial readings are of the BMI, fat %, etc., but it's good to see the trends and have a visualized record of them over different periods of time. Looks very nice too although it needs frequent wiping down.

This has a lot of features that are nice if you are already using the Garmin ecosystem. It syncs well via wifi. There is useful data including trending of data. The only issue I've had is using it on carpet. It comes with little risers to put on the bottom but I guess they aren't long enough because it still doesn't give an accurate weight compared to a hard surface.

This is a recent purchase and so far, I’m thrilled! I love how the weigh-in information syncs with my Garmin app and allows for review of weight, body fat, BMI, muscle mass, bone mass over time. I’m still learning where I should be in these measurements and this will be a good tool to add to my fitness goals.

The scale has a pleasant, simple appearance that compliments my bathroom. My readings so far have been consistent, which is very encouraging. The scale has worked flawlessly and syncs with Garmin Connect every time I use it. Consistency and regular synchronization may seem to be table stakes, but the electronic scale this replaces showed wide variation in body fat and muscle and bone readings. My prior scale also synced inconsistently and was burdened by overly complex software. I was waiting for it to break, but I'm glad I gave in and purchased the Garmin.

This is the second scale I have purchased since I travel. It sends the data directly to Garmin Connect and allows me to have all my data in one place. I am buying Garmin because I believe they are good quality, provide excellent customer support for their products and again makes it easy for me to see all my data in one app.

OK, I admit that I am somewhat of a gadget guy, but this thing is awesome! It knows who is on the scale and, within seconds of stepping on, your biometrics are recorded and synced to your device. Weight, yes, of course, but BMI, bone density, and a host of others. I had a Weight Watcher’s scale and it would show the same weight for me for days on end, regardless of my caloric intake or activity level. I feel that this Garmin scale is more accurate as it closely tracks with adjustments that I make in either category.

I bought this to replace an old index that died. I think the weight is a little more precise than gen 1. Accuracy is good enough. The non-weight metrics (bodyfat, water, muscle, and bone) are just derived from height and weight. They should either not be included or you should have the option to turn them off. The scale is way overpriced for just weight, but it is easy to integrate with the connect app.
