Pros: It provides a lot of metric data Very accurate on weight Easy to use and synch with Garmin watch You can set multiple profiles to make it a household scale Cons: It relies heavily on BMI. I am heavy for my height but I'm also very active with decent muscle mass. The scale says I am overweight. It synchs with my watch which now tells me my top priority should be losing weight.

Integration

The scale does more than weigh you. It gives you an idea about other bodily stats. Plus, it feeds into my other health tracking data, and as a nerd, this is good for me. It also means that once I step on the scale and stand there a few seconds, I don't have to track anything more.

Inaccurate Body Fat and a general pain to operate.

The body fat percentage is off by 3% (too high), and you have to set it to an activity level of 10 to get it that close. I have two of them, one for home and one when I am on travel. Both are a pain to connect to any wireless or WiFi networks. I am constantly having to re-add them through the Garmin Connect app. They need a much better WiFi antenna. They reek of Garmin cutting corners and charging too much.

Love the connect with Garmin app

Overall, the best part about this scale is that it connects with my Garmin app & the app takes into account all the activity that I'm doing, yielding info from my Garmin watch. However, I bought it because it said that there were unlimited profiles, but I should've read into that detail because profiles can only be setup for people who have a Garmin profile. I'm unfortunately not able to use it for my clients & as a Fitness Professional, that was going to be the main use for this scale. However, as a scale for me to use with my Garmin watch, it's great! Great info when you're a Garmin user, basic info when you're not (i.e. my husband uses it).

Cool idea, but a drag to use

Great features and nice to have functionality, but honestly, WHY IS IT SO HARD TO STAY CONNECTED TO THE WIFI?! It was working fine, and then decides it can't connect anymore and it's a drag to figure out how to reconnect and fiddle around with network settings. Such a tool should just connect and work.

Really Like It

I’ve had it for about a month now and it works great. Paired it with my Venu 2 and they sync great every day. Readings look accurate to me. Only two issues: 1. You toe tap it to turn it on. I have to tap my 5-6 times before it wakes up, so that feature needs a tweak. 2. We tried repeatedly to set up an account for my wife, but it never works, or when it does, it wipes out my account. So she just either uses the guest feature or another scale. That also needs a tweak. But overall I like it and haven’t had any issues other than the above.

Disappointed

I purchased this scale for my husband and I to use. We both have garmin watches and loved the idea how this would automatically sync our data to our watches and the garmin app. The scale emphasis is user friendly, and you can have multiple users. The scale is not great for multiple users. The instructions state after you weigh yourself and it collects the data, you should be able to easily touch/tap the scale to switch between users, this is not the case. Whether you gently tap, touch or more aggressively tap, it continually adds weigh ins to the wrong user profile. This is disappointing. I will probably return to using my tried-and-true non-smart scale that I've been using for over the last 12 years. I wish the smart scale was more sensitive to touch so it would not be so challenging to switch between users.

Great scale with a clunky switch

All the features are great. The ability to switch users, BMI, water, muscle and bone %. The integration to the Garmin Connect app is also great. What is not so great is that you have to tap really hard to turn it on or to change user names. I had to return the first one and got a refurbished one. It works a bit better. After many watches, a great boat computer, I was expecting perfection, yet the scale is not quite there.

Solid Scale with lots of features

The scale is a little bit pricey but overall I am very pleased with the product. It tracks all sorts of features with your weight, BMI, and even the weather! I like to track my trends during my weight loss journey and this scale has been a great part of it.

Not as reliable as the first Index Scale

This scale does not come on as easily, it often drops the body composition measurements so I only get weight. It also does not seem as accurate. I have been bodybuilding for the past two years and although I see visible changes, the body fat % either stays the same or increases.
