Love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an older lady, I like that this is an easy mop to use. It has a nice feel to it and a rubbery grip on the shaft for comfort. It has a refillable bottle which is great because I usually just damp mop with plain water, even though the instructions say you can add a little cleaner to the water if you wish. The handle has a hand pump to squirt the liquid up in front of the mop head. The microfiber head collects small debris, hair, dust, etc very well and you can use both sides of the head by flipping it around. The cloth closes onto the mop with Velcro and has a loop on the corner for hang drying and storage. After mopping, the floor is hardly wet unlike a rag mop that takes a long time to dry. I like that I can just refill the bottle, and rewash the cloth for several uses. That's very economical and practical! It hangs in my broom closet when not in use.
Not impressed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really looking forward to getting this mop and all I can say is that it was a big disappointment. What I thought would be a good product turned out not to be. This mop features the ability to spray chemical cleaner onto the floor directly in front of the mop, supposedly to eliminate your need for a bucket. You have to provide your own cleaning solution which you dilute in the attached bottle. The bottle is easy enough to fill and attach to the mop pole. The best part of the mop is the pad which is thick and textured and is easily removed by a Velcro strip. Further, while using the mop you can flip it over, doubling the amount of pad you have available which is more than a normal mop can do. When you're done using the mop you can wash the pad (however, you mustn't use any fabric softener and can't dry it in the dryer--must lay it flat to dry). This washing limitation was a turn-off to me. I found the mop easy to setup with the cleaning solution bottle on the mop pole. The spray is activated by a lever you pull at the upper mop pole. It sprays an adequate amount of spray onto the floor. But the mop didn't do that good of a job at cleaning, particularly in high traffic areas and against walls (and around the toilet--though I guess most mops aren't good there either). The pad came off easily when it was wet and washed well enough. It was a bit stiff after the washing. I can't wholeheartedly recommend this mop.
Best quick pick up mop ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The O-cedar ProMist Microfiber Spray Mop is an easy-to-use, light and efficient. I find it great for picking up those daily spots in the kitchen. The mop worked great on my tile floors. Here's how it works: Fill the bottle with cold, warm or hot water(your choice) and add two teaspoons of cleaning solution. The one-touch bottle release makes for easy removal. Then, spray and clean your floors and when done, machine wash the Microfiber pad in warm water, but do not use dryer sheets when drying. The instructions state NOT to use undiluted cleaner, bleach or wax on your floors. The Microfiber pad is machine washable over 100 times and refills are available. The pad has "scrub zones" that help remove tough grease and grime. I love the way it sprays the floor evenly in front of you. This mop is wonderful on sticky messes on the kitchen floor and because the mop head flips, you can clean longer without stopping! I also like that the mop head is large and cleans more surface in less time! I am in love with the this mop. I highly recommend it and am keeping it in my kitchen for quick reach. I highly recommend it to everyone! O Cedar truly makes my life easier.
Great for a quick clean
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little mop is great for a quick clean. It works well on laminate flooring as the smooth surface doesn't create drag on it and you can flip the head to dry the floor. It doesn't use much of the cleaning solution to clean. I used 1/2 of it to clean a small room and a kitchen. It didn't work that well on my kitchen floor as its an old textured linoleum floor. It would get "stuck" and the head would pop off. The mop didn't do well for getting up dried food on the linoleum but did fine getting old spills on the laminate. The head does get into hard to reach places such as under cabinets, the stove, fridge, etc. The spray dies spray wide and far, which can be good and bad. It will get on anything that is in its way if not picked up and angled down. It got in my couch, tv stand, cabinets. The pad is very wide and you can flip it over to use to keep mopping or use it to dry your floor. It is machine washable and does release the dirt and grime well in the wash. I would not recommend this for people with arthritis in their hands as you do have to squeeze often to spray the cleaning solution. All in all its a great light cleaning mop for laminate floors, not so much for textured floors.
Good for quick cleaning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The O cedar ProMist MAX microfiber spray mop is a good fit for quick cleaning. It is lightweight and easy to use. The water and cleaning solution reservoir releases with the press of a button to be filled and then is easily snapped back in place. The attached reservoir holds up to 750ML of water and only 2 teaspoons of cleaning solution are needed. The great thing is that you can use a cleaning solution of your choice mixed with the water. I really appreciate this feature because you do not have to pour cleaning solution all over the floor and then spread it around with this mop, stopping every so often to pour more of the cleaner on the floor. With this mop you squeeze the trigger on the handle to release a spray of cleaning solution already mixed with the water. The spray is released just in front of the mop head and you can spray as much or as little as you want. I sprayed a lot at first so my microfiber mop head would be damp enough. I did run into a problem while spraying, however. I started to notice my bottom kitchen cupboards, the floor boards, walls and bottom front of my stove and refrigerator got wet from the spray. The spray nozzle is located on the handle of this mop, but because of the angle of the handle while mopping, the spray goes up too high and not just on the floor. I had to go back with a cloth and wipe my cabinets, appliances and walls to remove the wet spray all over. The only solution I found was to either not spray within a certain distance of my cabinet or to hold the mop handle completely upright while spraying. Even holding the handle upright while spraying you still cannot spray right next to a cabinet or appliance without some spray ending up there. The other problem I had was the mop head base kept popping off of the handle, especially in corners or when going around the base of the toilet in the bathroom. The components are plastic and the mop head base snaps on and off from the handle which makes it easy to attach the microfiber cover and also to remove it for cleaning. The microfiber cover did a fairly good job of picking up dirt and grime. It does not get into corners very well because of the rectangular shape. The mop head does flip 180 degrees so you can use both sides of the mop head before you need to rinse it out. I found it was easy to just hold the mop up under the kitchen sink and rinse out the dirt while it was still attached to the base. When you are done mopping it is easy to remove the microfiber cover by pulling apart the Velcro holding the slit shut and sliding it off of the plastic base. Then you can wash it out by hand, wring out excess water and hang to dry or throw it into the washing machine. The microfiber cover can be machine washed up to 100 times before you need to replace it. To clean the nozzle after done mopping you are directed to spray 5 times with clean water, this is a bit of a hassle since I have to clean the reservoir then add some fresh water to clean the spray nozzle.
Easy to use and excellent for floor cleaning.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent product for floor cleaning. This is so much better than a messy, dripping electric steamer! The unit came in an attractive box with easy instructions. Easy to put together, attach the handle and put the sponge in place. It comes with a plastic container for water and any cleaning product of your choice. I fill the plastic bottle to the clearly marked fill line and add two teaspooons of my cleaning product, (also indicated on the bottle so I won't forget). I snap the water bottle with cleaning product in place onto the pole and it is ready to go to work. No need to wet my hands, no fuss, no mess. The microfiber sponge cleaning cloth is amazing! It cleans and picks up everything, everywhere! I adjust the nozzle height on the sprayer by simply lifting or lowering the pole as I pull the easy to spray handle. It releases a wonderful mist, enough to wet the desired area, it does not over soak the floors ever. Because of the rectangular sponge design I reach all corners and crevices. Best of all, after using one side of the sponge, I can flip it to use the second side of the sponge without touching the dirty sponge. Once finished I simply dispose of the remaining liquid, open the Velcro on the microfiber sponge, remove it and toss it into the washing machine but no need to put it in the dryer. I put it back on the unit and allow it to air dry. I am already recommending it to my friends, family and coworkers. Actually, we can use one at the office too. I highly recommend this O'Cedar ProMist Max Microfiber Spray Mop.
Good for most floor cleaning.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are advantages and disadvantages to the O-Cedar floor mop compared to others I have used. A big cost savings feature is you don't have to buy prefilled solution bottles; just use 2 teaspoons of any concentrated cleaner and fill the container up with water, and snap the container onto the mop handle. Also, the mop is cloth and can be thrown into the washing machine (lay flat to dry). A convenience feature is the mop portion folds up flat against the body of the mop, so it doesn't take a lot of room in whatever area you store it. One disadvantage is there isn't a scrubby feature to the pad; stuck on messes would have to be cleaned by another method or soaked for a bit to loosen. Also, if I have a big mess to clean up, I'd rather throw away the pad then deal with washing it (refills are available to buy). The mop did a decent job cleaning a tiled kitchen floor, and there was no stickiness afterwards. The spray comes out in a concentrated area, which I like because it gives me more control over what gets wet. This is definitely a good addition to my cleaning tools.
I Love This Spray Mop!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very impressed with my new O-Cedar ProMist MAX Microfiber Spray Mop. The large cleaning solution bottle is great and holds 750 ml which is about 25.4 ounces or 3 cups or 1.5 pints. That's a good amount of cleaning solution that will last a long time. The sticker on the solution tank is nice as a reminder that you only put 2 tablespoons of cleaning solution and the rest water in the tank. I love that the large cleaning pad flips over easily so you use both sides of it before you have to rinse or wash it. The combination of the solution tank size and the large two sided cleaning pad enable you to use this for a long time uninterrupted. The instructions had a great tip I would not have thought of immediately – when switching between different cleaners or preparing for storage, you should fill the bottle with water and spay five times and then discard the remaining water in the tank. This cleans the tank but more importantly cleans the spay nozzle so it does not become stopped up. I love good features built into a product that is made by a company that really knows its products and the consumers/users of the products. The rounded handle on this mop is also practical and makes using it so much easier than a straight handle. Mostly I use it with one hand that is easy, fast and comfortable. Yet they also put a grip on the stalk for firm holding if you need to use both hands to scrub a stubborn stain you are trying to mop up. This is so much easier than using a mop that you have to wring out the moisture from during use. I use it on tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom, but it is also good on laminated floors to easily remove small spots using a minimal amount of cleaner. I highly recommend this spray mop!
Average mop, I have better...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With a kid, cat and two busy adults, my floors can be difficult to keep clean. My floor care routine is fairly complex. I got this mop from the Spark Reviewer Program in exchange for a review. I had hoped for better. While it is substantially cheaper and quieter than my steam mop, the steam mop does a much better job of cleaning the floors. I can only see using this for quick spot cleaning, as this just left smears and streaks across the floor, even after sweeping and vacuuming. One good point is that it takes only two teaspoons of cleaner and water in the reservoir. That could lead to substantial savings. The two sided mop head is also nice.
I Really Like this Product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have nothing bad to say about this mop. I've owned a Swiffer for years but I got sick of paying for refill mop pads and cleaning solution. I wanted something similar that doesn't require a mop bucket to use and this fits the bill. I love that you can use your own solution and wash and reuse the mop pad. Plus it seems to perform better overall in terms of picking up dirt after it's loosened it. I like that the mop head is much larger than most and that it can be flipped so I can damp mop my entire downstairs without changing or cleaning the pad. The reservoir is easy to remove and fill and the nozzle is more than just a hole, it sprays a fine mist over a larger area. I like little things too, like the shape of the handle lets me change hand positions if I get tired and the trigger is easy to reach and pump. The wrap-around microfiber pad is superior at scrubbing out little problem spots and the way it attaches is a better design than the stick-on hook and loop pads other brands use. Because it wraps around there are no sharp edges to scratch and dent furniture and baseboards.
