Honest Review

Bottom line is the that this tub is excellent at the $3500 range we paid for it. If it is not on sale or clearance, wait until it is. Very powerful and just enough features. 34” is more than deep enough unless you are very tall (my husband is 6’3”). The comparisons of the surface to sand paper are ridiculous and just inaccurate. The surface is TEXTURED to prevent you from slipping. The “gritty” feel is a little aggressive/rough initially but wears down after time. The slip resistant feature is a GREAT BONUS (google slip, trips and falls in spas/hot tubs if you do not believe me). Be prepared to place the tub where you want as it is delivered curbside strapped vertically to a pallet. We were able to pull it around our yard to the backyard using a hand jack. This is definetly not a high end tub with all the extras but is powerful and reliable purchase. It is the Toyota Camry of the Hot Tub world. If you want a Mercedes equivalent, go to your local Pool & Spa wholesaler.

Poor Customer service

We bought this last year and in the instructions it states that you can install the electrical one of three different ways. We chose to use a method in the middle wanting to save a little electricity. At first things ran smoothly enough, but then we kept getting FLO error and when we reached out to the manufacturer for help they told us we had wired it wrong. Only one of the three different ways is the right way and now they refuse to help us unless we spend hundred of dollars to rewire it. Horrible customer service.

Regretting this purchase!

I replaced my plug&play lifesmart with this 230volt model. Big mistake. I wish I had my old one back. The shell of this hot tub is awful. The surface feels like sandpaper, so you can't ever feel comfortable. Also the rough surface collects stains, so the white looks filthy and disgusting all the time. Can't be cleaned. I may attempt to get it resurfaced but wish I never bought it.

Great value and awesome hot tub!

We bought this hot tub last year, shipping took about 4-6wks which gave me plenty of time to finish the area it was going. Set up was very easy but you do need an electrician & 220 amp circuit. Since install it has worked flawlessly. The jets are plenty powerful and on the highest setting they’re too much for too long and we usually have to turn the power down. I love it so far and would definitely recommend this hot tub to anyone.

Avoid. Constantly having to refill after use.

This is a terrible spa. The jets are so close to the top of the spa that when you fill it up so two people can use it and then four people get in, the water overflows from the top and spills out. Then when you go to get out the waterline drops below the jets and turns the jets into a supersoaker and blasts the person across from the jets in the face with water. You have to hold the jet button down to permantely shut them off in order to get out without the jets shooting water ten feet outside the spa. You are not able to easily shift between two users and four users. I contacted the manufacturer and they admitted that this is known. They don't care. They actually told me that they will DRAIN the spa before four people get in so it doesn't overfill. Not only is that asinine, but it also doesn't fix the issue of when one or two people get out and the other two get blasted in the face with water from the jets. The company knows that once you purchase and months go by before you receive it, install it, fill it up, you aren't going to return it. Had I known it would be that pathetically made, I definitely would have bought another spa.

Great Buy at $3,500!

This is a GREAT HOT TUB! Many jets and very powerful! Four people fit comfortably, maybe a fifth. The features are great including varying seat depths and the mini waterfall. The two pumps are powerful and maintain heat very well when the cover is off. What viewers need to know is that the hookup by a professional is expensive. Paid $750 for a licensed electrician (1st quote was $1,970 but thankfully received a separate 2nd quote of $750. Keep this in mind when paying the price. I see other companies sell same spa for many thousands more!

PART NUMBERS SHOULD BE IN THE MANUAL

I absolutely love this hot tub! It came a month early. Have had it up and running since May and in September it started leaking bad so we drained it and have been really busy with other things. So time to fix it and can’t figure out what the part number is to order new parts!! I think the manual should give part numbers..

Parts Failing After 3 Years Use, No Replacements

I bought one of these 3 years ago from Sams and after 3 years the small return jet nozzles in the wall that distribute water into the hot tub started failing. They are threaded into a plastic part that injects air with the water. Those threads have broken on two nozzles so far (part RD201-1006) and I have been unable to get identical replacements. I think the return nozzles in newer models are slightly different and no one supports the making older parts. I tried getting what were supposedly exact replacement parts on-line, but they are not the same. The Spa in not useable without these parts. I regret not going with one of the more reputable long time brands that have good parts and support options if you need them.

Disappointed

I bought this 3 years ago and about 4 months ago it started losing water. I noticed it was always wet on my concrete patio and around the botttom corners of of the hot tub. After opening up the side of the hot tub, which meant removing the side panels and cutting through the plastic siding to get to the plumbing and hoses, I found it it soaking wet and water poring out of two jets which cracked where they screw into the jet valve. I got that fixed and fired it back up. A week later the motor /pump burned out. I would not recommend buying this Lifesmart spa.
