Be carful when ordering the iO series 7 that is over $300.00. Make sure you get what you ordered. I had to return the much cheaper version of the iO they sent me.

I purchased a toothbrush two months ago and while I can't say that it has cleaned my teeth thoroughly as well as prevented tartar around my gums. I only SJgave it three stars because the brush heads are too big for my mouth, causing me to gag as well as the battery life. If the toothbrush is not in an upright position, it never goes to sleep if it's laying down or if you continuously open up your drawer, it will still be on.

Wish I knew how it worked. The package was left out in the storm so both the outside box and inside box was mush. Fed ex picked it up and a 2nd was delivered supposedly and left outside in no packaging at my apartment unit. The initial package left out in the storm showed back at my actual door 2 weeks later undeliverable to Sam's. I was told to toss it in the trash which I did because it was useless. I did finally get my refund a month later. I guess I'll purchase in store the next time they go on sale.

The reason I purchased this model, even though I have another expensive Oral B toothbrush, was because I wanted a charging travel case. I was disappointed to find that instead of USB-C charging port, the case comes with a special plug and it's fitted for 110V. So in order to take this toothbrush abroad I need to bring this bulky plug AND an adapter for a different voltage. Ugh.

This Rose kit and the Aquamarine kit that Sam's sells are actually the $300 IO Series 9 brushes with a standard travel case instead of the charging travel case, so it is a great deal if you get them on sale. They have the color screen and 7 modes of the Series 9, and the 16 zones of tracking in the app. No where on the box does it say Series 7, it just calls them "Special Edition" or something. The pictures on the page from Oral B are not correct to what you actually get. Solid price for 2 Series 9 brushes when on sale.

I see many people are complaining about how the head holds water and toothpaste, and it drips down the handle leaving a gross mess. If they would read the instructions, it clearly states to remove the head after brushing and rinse it inside and allow it to store air dry before re-assembling. If you do that, there's no mess. Works excellent!

As others have mentioned, these are a good deal. These are actually IO 9 brushes with the associated modes and color displays. This has been this way for awhile as far as I can tell. We bought this same bundle two years ago and were impressed by the cleaning quality. They were flawless up until they recently got flaky and started turning off suddenly at 40-50% battery. This was workable, but suddenly one brush failed to turn on and will often get stuck at "Hello" while booting up. I am wondering if this is a firmware issue or there was some moisture intrusion. I looked back and we paid about 150 dollars for the pair a couple years ago through Sam's. I debated going Sonicare or other competitor this time, but I have already invested in quite a few IO brush heads. I also feel the oscillating head cleans well and did not want to take a risk with another brand. I also saw that these were on sale for slightly more than we paid two years ago. I had assumed that they would be identical, but there are some updates. The screen is much brighter now and appears to be LCD. The old IO9 from 2024 used an OLED which was dimmer, lower resolution, and had substantial PWM. This new model also has updated graphics and will not suffer from burn in like out old brushes have. This new model also has the benefit of flashing in the battery percentage more frequently before shutting off. The prior generation did not display the battery unless you placed it on the charger. This made it challenging to know when you needed to charge it. Biggest benefit of this unit over other brushes is the display. I rarely use the app connection and the other brushing modes, but I do appreciate being able to see how long I have been brushing. Also being able to see the battery percentage is nice. My main hope is that his updated model will be more durable than the prior version. That unit only lasted about two years before failing. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to replace the battery. I took my old model apart and was happy that it is pretty user serviceable and just takes a 14500 lithium cell (AA sized) in a holder and can be swapped in a couple minutes. I did try another battery in that unit and could not get it to function normally, so it was something more than just the battery.

This design is impossible to keep clean , harbors water for mold/grime . Ridiculous issue for a toothbrush . Both the heads and the handle where it attaches to the head are a disgusting nightmare . Must use water flosser to clean , then sanitize and dry disassembled and I still can't trust it .

Great cleaning electric toothbrushes. As the other comments state the rose and black special edition is definitely io9 series and not the io7 I was led to believe. The screens are colored and has 7 different cleaning modes. Very good deal when on sale for these 2 brushes vs retail price of just 1 io9!
