I have been ordering Peet's Major Dickason's Blend for at least 15 years and can hardly drink any other coffee. I have tried to encourage my friends to serve Peet's because it is very rude to not be able to drink a "cuppa" with them. I was married 10 years ago to a man who only drank Folger's. During our courtship, I introduced him to Peet's - an easy convert. Our morning coffee with the newspapers is an important ritual in our lives. Love Love Love Peet's.

I've come back to Major Dickason's Blend after several years away, using a retail blend from a Canadian donut and coffee chain. I'd forgotten how robust this blend is, and how much I enjoy a good cup of it. I buy the beans and grind it with a burr grinder. I can make a good espresso and a good "gold" cup of coffee with it. In my coffee maker, to set the strength on "bold" makes this coffee run a touch bitter, but it's not a big deal for me. I love the dark roast, the chocolate-y/nutty taste.

This has long been our favorite coffee for use in our Kierig. Now that we have an espresso machine and can grind our own beans, this remains one of our favorites. We both like bold, strong, full-flavored coffee, and Peet's Major Dickason's blend consistently delivers those qualities.

Major Dickasons's is my tried and true go-to and it never disappoints. A fabulous rich cup in the morning is the only way I want to start my day. Opening a new bag is like heaven! The aroma is a hint of what is in store. One hearty cup of this and my day can begin. It is quite the tragedy if I run out.

I can't imagine starting my day without several mugs of Major Dickason's blend. Wonder full flavored coffee and I always know it was recently roasted. Pete's does a great job providing fresh roasted coffee via mail order, and puts that date right on the bag.

I first had Major Dickason's Blend when it was introduced in the store at Walnut & Vine in Berkeley. My mom and I went there regularly. We both liked it, and better than the other beans. I have been choosing it over other coffee types pretty much ever since then.

I have been using nothing but great Peet's beans home delivered coffee since the '70s! It's coffee and it's iconic coffee cup have been a constant daily reminder of my happy College days at UC Berkeley. when my best friend and I first discovered Peet's Coffee. My review is easy - I like Major Dickason's coffee. Period. I make it with the Chemex method except when I'm in a hurry in which case, I use the pods (Keurig) method. For the Chemex method, I use a 16:1 ratio of water to beans (ground coarse). I make enough for about 2-3 cups most mornings.

I have tried all sorts of coffee blends and always come back to Major D's. It is so smooth, bold and not nearly as acidic tasting as a French roast. I do put a bit of half and half in my coffee, but no other flavors or sweeteners. Major D's is the perfect drinking coffee, no doctoring needed!

Would go with a 4.5 if allowed. This is the coffee my wife and I prefer, since our previous coffee roaster went out of business. The "flavor profile" is listed as earth, spice, and everything. It does not taste like dirt or rocks, so not earth. Which spice? Not basil, thyme, chili, garlic, etc. I have yet to detect a spice. Not sure what "everything" mean. If it mean coffee flavor, yes it tastes like coffee. It tastes like it smells - coffee. (We have an automatic expresso machine the grinds whole bean.)
