Overall the flavor is good, but it has too much garlic. The taste of the garlic is overbearing. I couldn't taste the flavor of other foods because the garlic overpowered everything else.

The best bang for your buck! If I was to go buy all the ingredients separately, it would cost 2 to 3 times more than this product. Such a time saver and a money saver as well!

Despite being in an “air tight container” the pesto leaked all over my cabinet. If I would have known that I would have refrigerated. Which is bad because the pesto is on the shelf with other shelf stable products in the store.

In the past, I absolutely loved this pesto. The last time I bought it, the sauce had way too much garlic in it. From someone who loves garlic and uses a lot of it in cooking, that means it has TONS. I don't know if it was a one-off batch, or if they changed the recipe, but I will try it one more time in the not-near future. If it's still that garlicky, I'll forever pass on this one.

Sam's used to carry a different brand of pesto that came in a similar container. They have tried to imitate the other brand here and make their own, but it is gross. This Members Mark brand Pesto has a chemical-like aftertaste that is nasty. Sam's, please go back to the old brand! They did it better!

We really like this Pesto product. However, when I make my pesto from scratch I only use extra virgin olive oil (authentic recipe) instead of a vegetable oil blend (1st, canola, which is a cheap, unhealthy processed oil, along with 2nd, EVOO). Adding sunflower oil to the basil blend is okay, since sunflower oil is also healthy, but minimally processed oil is preferred. Purchasing the product pre-made is much less expensive than buying all the ingredients separately, especially the pine nuts and cheeses, and is the reason I purchase it from Sam's.

I sampled this over cheese tortellini in the store and purchased both. A little goes a long way. Gave me a bit of indigestion burps everytime I had some. Garlic and basil are strong in this one. Has inflammatory oils (sunflower and canola) in it. Good if you need pesto in a pinch, but not the best I've ever had.

Pesto is great to keep around the house. We use it on some sandwiches and wraps instead of mayonaise. Its also perfect for a fast pasta dish. I was happy to find a good quality Pesto at Sam's. I do have to mix in just a touch more olive oil with this one though to spread it. Its pretty thick.

Absolutely the BEST thing to add to your cooking arsenal. We love it as an “extra”. As in- making Palomino style spaghetti and meatballs- with a spoon of this on the side for dipping the meatballs in. Wonderful. I have to fight off my husband and kids to have any when I buy it!
