I have recently purchased a Westinghouse iGen 5000. It was delayed a couple times in shipping by Fedex, but still came in about a week. Unpacked it, put oil in, connected propane started on second pull. Put gas in, again started in a couple pulls, electric start worked also, no problems. It handles our 30 amp rv very well. Noise-wise, with a 15000 btu air on it is less than half as loud as our push lawnmower, standing right beside the generator, the neighbor's push mower across the street was very easily heard over the generator. Overall, I like this product and would recommend it to anyone interested in this size generator. Only feature that might be nice is a manual fuel gauge, to see fuel level before starting it.

I bought the IGEN 5000DFC yesterday. I found this unit to provide lots of great features. The multi display is outstanding and provides full status of the unit while operating. The dual fuel option is really a great feature as well. A couple items that I found could be improved: 1) The manual is vague on the operation. Fails to say how to turn the unit on specifically & how to turn it off. I figured it out & its simple.by pushing the round start button to turn on & also to turn it off. 2) Read the manual fully before operating. Fortunately I did this. The unit ships without any fluids in place. Must service the engine oil before you start it. 3) Engine oil service port is small & difficult to get into if you have larger hands. Otherwise, This is a great unit. Quiet and delivers as expected.

Removed from packaging, filled with gas and oil.( Doesn't take full Qt. Of oil). Gas started leaking all over my garage floor. Got it outside, pulled the side cover and tapped on the carburetor. Needle was stuck, maybe from shipping? Let it set for the day, and dry out. Started right up, runs great, and runs my whole r.v. Runs quiet and smooth, have not tried propane yet.

This is my first generator purchase and have been very pleased with it so far. I researched for several weeks plus consulted with friends who are electricians to help me determine the features I needed. The primary motivation for purchasing a generator was as a backup in the event of a power outage but also something portable to use while camping. I really like the dual fuel feature, easy start options and the quietness. Very good price for the features and power!

Just unpacked my 4500DF. Packaging was great and despite the shipping company's best efforts, it arrived unscathed. Upon initial inspection, I'm glad I purchased this unit. The accessory kit is superb. Save the oil container to refill for your next oil change. I'm hoping this generator serves me for many years but time will tell.

I bought this generator as a backup for our home in the event we lose power (happens 2-3 times a year). This generator connects perfectly to our house via the RV plug and has plenty of power to run all our essentials (Fridge, lights, tvs, workstations, fans). Very quiet which was important for us being is a residential area.

I bought my first IGEN400 back in 2017 and just bought me a second one with Dual Fuel. My first one never skipped a beat and has been effiecient since the first day I got. Plugged the new one into the battery and filled it up with oil, plugged in the propane and it fired rite up first try. I was hoping the any connectors and choke switch were all operating right from the ship. The plastic on the unit smells so good I don't want to get it dirty!! IGEN4500 are the best bang for the buck!

I bought this generator 11/16/21. So far we have really enjoyed the large fuel capacity, and how quiet it operates. We use it for overnight stops while traveling to our destination in or RV. It also has benefited use if for some reason the RV park looses power we can stay comfortable until it comes back on. One of the features I picked this generator is the duel fuel option. I keep the gas tank full of fuel and if I run out of gas I switch to propane to keep the lights , heat, refrigerator, or AC running.

I don't normally like to leave ratings until I've fully used the product for a long amount of time but because I've been asked to leave a review in exchange for a cover I'll leave a review based on first impressions and come back and alter it if need be. So far I'm happy with the product although I haven't been able to fully test yet! It's definitely one of the best products in this category you can find when you compare it spec and feature wise with all of the competitors. Looking forward to using it more to determine if it fully lives up to what it says!

After receiving the 5000 watt dual fuel with electric start, I am pleased with the product and features. The packaging was top notch and the instructions were clear. I followed a more in depth break-in procedure from YouTube utilizing oil stabilizer, Lucas break in specific oil, and 3 drain and fills. I intend to only use propane over gasoline to keep the carburetor clean and I’m confident this machine will last 20 yrs of occasional use! I do wish this was quieter but it is far quieter than a non inverter generator or lawn mower and so far my perspective is the would level from about 5 ft away. Very happy with my purchase price vs quality, sound, and reputation.
