Bought this generator to be ready for the next wave of California intentional brown-outs. Wanted something quiet, so my popularity in the neighborhood wouldn't increase if my house had power vs everyone else! This inverter generator does the trick. For the first start, I used the remote to check the initial build and packaging effectiveness... fired up in 3 seconds, all options work, couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommend if you need the same.

Just received the generator yesterday and today added oil, connected battery and added a small amount of fuel. I pulled the engine through about ten times with the recoil start with the unit switched OFF to make sure some oil was distributed. Then I switched it on, pushed the start button and it IMMEDIATELY cranked up and very quickly settled into a smooth idle. Apparently no auto choke connection issues as some reviews have noted. I let the unit run no load for about 90 minutes as a "break in" until out of fuel even though not indicated in the manual. I then removed the engine access panel to drain any remaining fuel from the float bowl. The float bowl drain screw is very small and in a very difficult position. You need a long shaft screwdriver with a small flat tip to undo the screw and tighten it and the screw seems made of rather soft metal. It's a real pain to get to and I doubt it will last. That's a problem for me as I usually drain a float bowl after every use if I'm going to leave an engine unused for any length of time. I use Sta-Bil in all gasoline for small engines but it's still possible for fuel to go bad if something sits a long time. I will have to run this unit more often, at least monthly even though I only need it for hurricane season. Also the access panels for the oil fill and the battery are just too small: period. I have small hand for my size but very long fingers and it was still difficult to perform then necessary tasks to set up the generator for first use. Westinghouse: make those opening an in larger in each dimension.

Seeking back-up generator that could serve both emergency home back-up and for camping. Combination of being quiet and dual fuel plus portable enough to take camping along with positive ratings was deciding factor. Easy to follow manual, started right up on first try. Only reason didn't give it 5 stars is the telescoping handle seems a little flimsy.

Just got it. Was careful to put correct amount of oil in as suggested by other reviewers. Attached to propane. Started right up. Very quite. Everything appears to be working perfectly. Sturdy construction. Will be happy if all keeps on functioning this well.

Add oil, gas, connect battery then pulled slowly to distribute oil 3 times. Started first pull after that. Let it warm up then put some load on it. Electric and remote start work great. Plenty quiet, seems flawless thus far. The run time seems to beat others out there and I’m confident I can run everything I need to in my rv with this. Run time indicator is really useful. Has a solid well built feel to it and the handles and extendable handle are very sturdy.

Still trying it out but I like all the features, some things are not well thought out, doing an oil change requires trying to get your hand in a small opening and around a large wire to work with the oil plug, the opening could be bigger and better placed to allow easier access to the plug, accessing the larger panel by loosening several screws that can be removed with a screwdriver but the last is a bolt that requires a 10 mm socket, why not just make them all screws, hope there is nothing else as I use it on my RV, overall it is very good.

I bought this unit for boondocking in our rv. After unpacking and reading the instructions, I connected the battery, put in the oil, hooked up the propane and it started on the first try. I am impressed with the general quality of the unit. It seems to be as quiet as advertised. I would definitely recommend this generator.

I got this product right after Hurricane Helene swept through. Like many in our area of western North Carolina we had no power or phones for over 2 weeks. This is a real workhorse, and the dual fuel feature is especially appreciated. Good job Westinghouse!

IT works un boxed , battery compartment door missing . Good intstuctions . filled oil w/ provided oil / funnel (nice touch) oil dipstick hard to reach with fat american hands to far back . Would be good if they told u how much oil to put in . Started right up on propane falterd 2x restarted & ran for 20 min . put small load on throttle speed seemed to pulse but ran OK .Turned off waited ckd oil level / added 1 gal of gas ran under load for about 3 hrs . Throttle speed speed up under load as it should but still seemed to pulse w/ eco switch on of off but ran fine .Remote start seems to have limited distance which could be improved @ 50ft .Propane regulator was included but the hose supplied is to short to keep the tank away from unit IMHO easy fix longer hose w/ quick connects . Purchased to Power 5th wheel trailer & A/C w/soft startT .Will see in the coming weeks how it holds up . Overall think its a good product came w/ 3 yr warrnty as opposed to HF preditor same model & price which only had 1 yr

I have had this generator for almost a month and have used it to run power tools and with my camper. It has plenty of power and is pretty quiet. Only problem I’ve had is forgetting to turn off the battery and I haven’t been able to pull start it when the battery is dead.
