Purchased this unit a few days ago during a power outage. After setting it up per the instructions, it started on the first attempt and ran for several hours until power was restored. Very easy to use. Reasonably quiet. One note - set up instructions for adding engine oil are confusing. One instruction says to add the entire bottle of oil; another instruction says to add oil only until the oil reaches the bottom of the filler opening. The latter instructions are correct; I had excess oil running out of the filler opening. Not a problem though since I used paper towels to catch and absorb it.

The generator works fine at high elevation. The manual is questionable because of major mistakes. Such manual should be reviewed by a professional and corrected as necessary. We give only 4 stars because the battery was tumbling around in the compartment as a result of a defective battery holding strap.

We could not get the generator to work. I called the number I had in the information you sent. The person who answered could not fix the problem. Took my information and said someone would call me the next day. ThAt was on Monday Sept 2. Today is Sept 5. I’m still waiting. I guess I’ll wait for ever.

Slick unit with all the options I need. Well throughout and easy to use. The dual fuel source is definitely a plus when gas is not as available or stable for an extended period of time. The progress in 30 years difference between this and the old Coleman generator is incredible. I don't need ear plugs to run this thing.

We needed a generator for our new travel trailer and this one checked so many of the boxes! Many of our friends have the other well-known brand, but we really liked the features on this generator, especially the power, dual-fuel feature and that it's quiet. And the blue color matches the trim on our trailer!

I am very well pleased with our purchase decision. There are a number of portable inverter generators, not many at this price point that are so well engineered and laid out though. We are RV users and though I have actually just received it and set it up I am convinced we made the right choice for our money. It is not as light as a Honda but a Honda at this power level would cost twice as much. As for noise I can’t compare it to any as this is the only portable we have, but it does not seem obnoxiously loud by any means, and the camping we do we tend to not be around a lot of people and the generator will be used to charge the batteries we have for our trailer for the most part, intermittent use, not continual. So we are quite happy with our iGen4500DF.

Followed instructions for first start up & seems to work as it should. Operated off gas or propane. I've only briefly ran my air compressor & Dewalt 12" miter saw off it. Main use is to use wirh my RV but haven't been able to try it out yet. Also by giving this review Westinghouse says they will send me a cover for it. We shall see?

This unit is feature rich, I particularly like the dual fuel option. I could not do the initial start on propane, had to use gas, now it works fine on either. The remote start is cute, although I don't how much I will need or use it. The data center is info I have never had before, and very useful. This generator actually has more power and a smaller footprint than my prior unit, and is portable enough for it's size. So far, I'm impressed with the quality.

I purchased this generator over the mass market cheaper ones for the dual fuel capability. I intend to use it on my horse trailer with living quarters.On trips where it needs to be stored in the horse trailer portion I wont have to wotty about gas fumes and our horses because of its ability to run on propane(no need to store with gas in it)

I purchase this item from Amazon.com and upon receiving the generator I found it well packaged and no shipping damage. After following the simple setup which include the necessary motor oil it started on the first try using the remote and propane. I knew the IG4500 DF was suppose to be quite but I was surprised how good it was using propane. I also thought the build quality was very good with easy access to the battery and oil compartments. The data center was also a nice feature and seems to work well. I feel considering the power capability and feature set of this generator that the price I paid was reasonable. I have only had it for a couple of weeks but so far I am very happy with my purchase.
