Started on 1st pull !!

Purchased this item for multiple use: home backup electric; RV and hunting camp use. Love the remote electric start ! The dual-fuel feature is most effective, much easier to transport / store propane vs gasoline. The included oil filler funnel is designed just as this old machinist would've done it . . threaded into the filler port with no spill !

Great features and runs at low noise level

I have only started it to be sure it runs. Running on propane means I don't have to worry about sitting for long periods of time. Propane regulators are a bit awkward to position propane canisters. Note should be given that oil in bottle is too much for the enging. Sugest measuring the oil needed before filling crankcase.

After using one, had to have it.

During hurricane Ida I borrowed my son-in-laws, and decided then and there I needed one myself. Over the years I’ve had a few and have used others. This one is one of the best for the price that you can get. Ease of use and startup are without a doubt my main reasons for purchase! Great product.

Ready for ERCOT outage

Easy to get started...ready to go in less time than it took to get the propane tank filled. I haven't used it long-term as of yet; just a test run with an ac unit plugged in and the generator did well. The telescoping handle is wonderful for transport and the electric start is overkill, but nice if you're mounting the unit in a place the pull start maybe had to get to. My mind is at ease from fear of power outages this summer and the next Texas freeze.

Great Inverter

I bought this for camping and stand alone power for rv. This inverter powers everything and has not missed a beat. I have even used it to power lights and small apliances through dissconect in main hoise when power outages occur. Would definatly reccomend and would most definately purchase another Westinghouse genset again

Quiet and simple to operate

I'm a 60-year-old woman, and my friend suggested this generator for me. When he showed me how to use it (with propane) I was amazed at how simple it is and how quiet it runs. I'm very happy to have this on hand for the (not so infrequent) power outages that occur here in central NH.

Exactly as Described and Expected!

Ready to go pretty much out of package. Only issue is there is an oil door and the instructions say to take off engine cover to get to oil. Directions need to be fixed on the quick start fuse as well as owners manual. Otherwise we are looking forward to a quality inverter for our RV.

Fits the RV needs.

Runs our AC and microwave at the same time. I like the wheels and the suitcase handle which makes it easy to move. Had no startup problems, perhaps they have finally been resolved. Fit and finish is just so-so, but that is all cosmetic, what is more important to me is performance. The owner's manual is a cut above what we receive nowadays. I see the issue with the oil drain, but I recently purchased an oil extractor and so I had no mess. If you have several small engines, that is the way to change oil. I'm satisfied so far.

IGen5000DFc inverter Generator

This Westinghouse inverter generator is powerful and has many features you’d want in a mid sized inverter generator. Dual fuel is a must and this has a selector switch than can switch from gasoline to propane without shutting down the generator(load must be disconnected first). Theses a carbon monoxide detector that will shut it down if excess co is detected. The weight is approx. 105 pounds which is right on par for this size. It’s much quieter than the larger open frame generators, and supplies clean energy for sensitive electronics. All in all a good choice for inverter generators. One improvement needed in my opinion, would be a quick disconnect for the propane attachment to the generator. Instructions say to hand tighten the fitting then look for leaks using soap water. A little inconvenient but not a deal breaker. You can link another generator through the parallel ports if desired. There are 2 120v AC receptacles and 1 30A 120v receptacle you can use with the proper RV adapter extension cord(can convert to 3 additional 120v extensions for household use)

Right package for our needs

We needed a generator to back up to solar power at our off-grid cabin. This is the right size (and then a bit), and the dual fuel capability was very appealing since it will sit unused for weeks on end. Too soon to attest to reliability, but it has the chance to be a perfect fit.
