Bought for a new 5th wheel. Had a 12000 watt Westinghouse for a home back up but it was too big and heavy for the RV. This is a perfect size and power for our 30 foot 5th wheel. The 30 amp outlet and the wattage rating was able to run both ACs simultaneously. Super quiet for camp ground use. Very pleased.

Purchased this generator online based entire on the reviews. This unit replaces a 4500 watt Champion. The Champion would fit in the back of my GMC Serria when the wheel kit was not present. The iGen5000df fits WITH the wheels, which is a big plus for loading and unloading. The iGen5000df will be used for RVing boondocking. Being quieter than the Champion, the wife is happy. Being lighter (approx 15 lbs), having built in wheels and quieter, I'm happy.

I was looking to replace my portable inverter that was stolen while at Canyon De Chelly on the Navajo Nation this summer. This unit is a bit larger, heavier, quicker and more powerful. Looking to use on my next adventure to the east coast and Florida Keys.

I've only had for about two weeks and only put a little more than 10 hours on the unit but so far, it's been working well. Everything works as advertised. Concerns of the lighted battery switch draining the battery while left on but the generator not running. This would occur if you used the remote to turn off the unit and let it sit, for say overnight, and wanted to use the remote to fire up in the morning. Small concern that the battery may be low/dead due to the lighted switch. I would have preferred a non-lighted switch to avoid any drain while it's not running. Other than that, this unit has preformed well so far. Writing this review to take advantage of their free weather cover, not because I felt a review was needed. I'd rather leave a review after I have 100+ hours on the unit.

I bought what seemed to be the last iGen4500DF in stock in the US from Acme Tool (a fine, family owned, upper Great Plains company) who worked with me to have it to me in time for a prolonged time on the road. Thank you Acme! Just the fact that it was in such short supply speaks to good features and performance, not supply chain issues. This has to be the easiest-to-use piece of technology I've purchased. Push a button, whether on the unit or on the remote, and you have "angry pixies" to run all the things you can't do without. And the neighbors aren't any the wiser that you have the benefit of power when they may not. It is light enough to lift into the back of a pickup, starts so easily that I don't have to break a sweat, is quieter than the AC unit it drives, and can run on both gasoline and propane. I look forward to using the retractable pull handle the next time I take it with me on my next commercial flight. (Not really, but it pulls as easily as many checked bags.) The unit arrived in good condition, was easy to setup and get started. The battery for the electric start was even charged. The display is nice to see fuel level, power output, voltage etc. Having the 30Amp camper receptical eleiminates one more adaptor, nice. Fairly quiet for its power output.

Bought for RV Boondocking and back-up home power. Great value to have the dual fuel, remote start, electric start, 30-Amp plug, telescoping suitcase handle, and more. Nice quality construction on the design/molding of outer shell. Relatively quiet and started right up.

Great back up generator. I takes little space to start and its easy to handle with the telescope handle. It's really handy that it comes with the adaptor for the liquid propane tank, the correct oil, oil funner and tools. Im pleased with my purchase.

I just unpacked my Westinghouse iGEN4500DF generator purchased because another brand failed to start during an ice storm. I returned it ASAP to the company and purchased the 4500DF. I'm only running it on propane. Very easy to set up. No wheels to attach etc. Just filled the oil, which comes in the box and connected the battery clip. It started on the first try and warmed up nicely and quietly. I trust this generator to be ready to run when I need it.

Just received my IGen5000DFc. Looks solid and the startup was simple and worked great. Pretty quiet as well. Praying this inverter generator will last a very, very long time. My last generator (different manufacturer) was practically brand new, but stopped generating power with less than 100 hours on it.
