I bought this to run my room air conditioner and recharge my phones/laptops during PG&E's Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). Works great! I am using a propane tank as fuel, since I also have a gas grill. Love the power meter as it show my air conditioner is drawing much less than expected. It makes a little noise, but a lot quieter than any of the other generators in the neighbor hood.

Just received my IGen4500DF. Generator was well packaged and contained all required items needed (oil, oil filler, battery charger and LP hose and regulator asm) to n xl ding remote. Unit is ready to go after adding oil, plugging in battery and adding gas. Beautiful generator! Hoping it lasts a long time!!

works great - both gas and propane, bought as an emergency generator but have been using with a compressor and battery charger for power tools as we build a large shed on the back half of my lot. I might even buy another (later) as a parallel power unit (or one for shed and one for house outage emergencies. The nits are all ergonomic and obviously would need some re-design to make it PERFECT. I’m old, have bad back and bad knees and very large hands – I’m a big guy but getting down on all fours just to add oil or even view the oil level is stupid – make fill tube longer by at least 6-8 inches, add a longer dip stick and for God's sake please need a proper oil drain cock. – no “dip unit over” that’s a broken hand/arm waiting to happen. Add a way to drain the gas tank completely without having to run to “dry” – there is still gas left in tank (so yes a tank redesign) . The battery cover needs to be about an inch all around larger (the big hand's thing). Finally, a separate “quick access” panel to access the spark plug, carburetor bowl drain screw, and the choke (just in case)

I was totally surprised how easy it was to set this generator up.The set-up directions are clear and easy to under stand. After preparing it for operating with gasoline I was still concerned but a few seconds after i hit the auto button it was purring like a kitten. It is TOPS in quality of Construction, Operation and Appearance.

Just bought and surprised how solid this is constructed. It is heavy but easy to tote around due to telescopic handle. Have only used it with propane so far and is exceptionally quiet. Started up first attempt using the fob. Purchased 50' 10-gauge extension cord per instructions. Did not have any spikes in voltage which is important as I will connect my home fridge to generator during next outage. Highly recommend this dual fuel model should community I live in be short on either the propane or the gas. Not so concerned about the next ice or winter storm now that I have this!

Love the generator, but my 2.5 hp air compressor keeps tripping it's own breaker when I try to run it off the generator. Haven't figured out why yet. Works fine from the wall outlet. I apparently pushed too hard on the oil fill cover. The plastic snap broke already. It was about the third time I opened it. I was standing above it and pushed straight down. Apparently it didn't like that. The gen runs smooth and is very quite. Going to try it out on my travel trailer next.

I’m impressed how easy it was to add a quart of oil and pull the cord and voilà I had power. It comes complete with tools, a funnel, oil and good instructions. The most important thing to me was to be able to use propane and or gasoline. As an afterthought, I probably should’ve purchased the unit with an electric starter but it’s 73. I’m still capable of pulling the cord to get the power lol.

I just bought a travel trailer so I did a little shopping and found this to be a pretty great inverter generator. I love the propane feature. Picked it up last night and I already load tested it. Runs everything on my 30 amp travel trailer, including the 15k BTU AC. It double duties as a great emergency generator for my house. Runs everything in my house (within reason), including a couple of window AC units, a refrigerator, and a freezer. No, it won’t run my hot tub (oh well). This is my second Westinghouse generator. The first one is a 7,000 watt which is still like new. I'm giving that one to my son since I bought this one to consolidate my home and RV generator requirements. Absolutely love it!

I bought this last week. Got it broken in over the weekend and tried it out on our new RV. 15,000 BTU air no sweat for it. Every other appliance at the same time no sweat. Has to be the quietest generator at this size I have ever heard. It has a good solid feel to the cabinet and controls. All the controls and outlets are all weather protected, a nice added feature. Looked at a similar size Honda for 75% more money and after running this one I think I made a good choice. Hope it lasts as long as Westinghouse has been around.

After filling up with oil and hooked up to propane, the generator start one first push on 40 degree day. 2nd day and later it required 2 or more push start. But on day one, it would not start no matter how many time i pull the recoil with or without adjust the choke. I only run the generator in breakin mode, change new oil, then store away for emergency. Have not yet put gasoline in the tank. Hope it will start when i need it.
