I just wish there was a bit more power. The unit itself was easy to set up and so far seems really easy to use and start. However I really should have gotten a more powerful unit, to clean anything except dust you must be 4 to 6 inches from area.

Burn marks and possible future problems
There is a previous review that mentioned burn marks left in the grass then reposted it wasn't the pressure washer. It absolutely leaves burn marks in the grass. I did fix this problem by removing a flange that is mounted on the face of the muffler that deflected the exhaust down. My bigger concern is my tip got clogged three times and each time it was a white piece of plastic. Where did it come from? Check valve?

Poor Quality and Support
I purchased this unit and replaced it two times. I wanted it to work but it won't pull in chemicals. I called support and they said my chemicals were too thick but I was using water as a test solution. They then said bring it to a service center but after two units I gave up.
Hi, NotGood. We are sorry to hear about the difficulty you've had with applying chemicals. We hope the matter is resolved quickly so you can start operating more smoothly. Please keep us updated on the status of your unit & don't hesitate to reach out to our support team directly at 877-362-4271 or email us at productsupport@simpsoncleaning.com to discuss further solutions. We appreciate your time & feedback.
Very happy.
Purchased this after returning a defective one of another brand from a different store. This one replace a low-end electric pressure washer that died. I was hesitant to pour so much money, but I don't have any regrets after using it. I should have bought this earlier. This one cleans very well in a shorter amount of time. I have used it on cars with a foam cannon and concrete with a surface cleaner. The thing that was a boring chore is now easy to do. I highly recommend it.
Hose fitting lasted 10 seconds!
As the title says, the hose fitting literally blew apart on the initial startup within 10 seconds. Some may think this is a bit exaggerated, but I put oil and fuel in it, started the MegaShot washer, turned to pick up the wand and zowie powie! Can't comment on any other reliability or features - it didn't last long enough! Interestingly, I thought this new hose was so much more heavy duty than the hose on my previous power washer.
Hi, Bucky. We are sorry to hear about the hose fitting - this is certainly not what we expect at all and we would like to learn more about how this could have happened. Will you reach out to our support team at 877-362-4271 or email us at productsupport@simpsoncleaning.com? We want to make sure you get the part you need (in pristine condition) to get up and running as soon as possible. Thanks for your feedback and we hope to hear from you very soon.
Great Machine
Bought this to replace my smaller simpson 2400 psi washer. This unit has much more power and started up after 2 pulls out of the box. I will note that my item was damaged in shipping but is still fully functional and Sam's Club had given a discount. I will also note that Sam's Club lists this unit with 5/16" hose but after purchasing I reached out to Simpson directly and they stated indeed this unit only comes in 1/4". I really don't think you'd notice a difference. I have this washer hooked up to a 120' garden hose and still plenty of power. I couldn't believe how much gas the tank holds aswell it's at least a gallon if not more. This unit also features a throttle adjustment which is why I ultimately wanted the Kohler engine vs the Honda. The Hondas do not have an adjustment so you are running them full blast the entire time.
AWESOME PRESSURE WASHER!
I've had 4 pressure washers over the past 20 years and this one by far is the best. The last one I had was a homelite powered with a Honda motor. It worked fine for about 4 years but the pump stop working this spring. The main differences between the 2 are many. The Kohler motor on this one is better in terms of how smooth it runs more fuel efficient. It has an adjustable throttle so you don't always have to run it at full pressure. The Honda did not. Very easy to start and like mentioned runs EXTREMELY smooth at any speed and is very quiet for a gasoline powered motor.
Powerful!
Searched for hours on line for a mid-size powerwasher and started to realize that power ratings are going up on the newer models. I eventually went to Sams (on-line) and found the 3400 Simpson/Kohler for about 1/2 the price of units with comparable specs. Well ok then, this is a newer model (I think) and ordered one on-line for pickup at the store; I have no problem going into stores, more worried about running out-of-stock. This was all fine and two Sams workers loaded a box that looked in great condition. Unloaded by myself, unpacked it, added oil in the easy access oil filler and added regular gas that was 6 months old (I was cringing a bit). Next, set the controls on the side, added the hoses, installed the wide spray tip, let the hose water run for 30secs, then gave it a quick pull -- a nice surprise, it fired right up with the 1st pull. Immediately I could tell is powerful machine, leaning more to commercial grade as far as psi and glad that the white 40 degree fan spay tip was in the wand. Next, cleaned house siding, a Tahoe, 80s lawnmower, and a section of concrete-walkway, the whole time I thought the engineers that came up with combination must be very happy. A long time ago I had a 4,000 psi machine, but retuned it; this 3400 Simpson/Kohler is set at good level for fast/quick cleaning. Pros: Quick set up Compact/lightweight Easy oil fill Quick start Plenty of power Motor runs at low rpm, even at full power What might be better? * The wand could be a bit longer * Include safety glasses
Pump Failed after 2 Hours of Use
I bought this in October 2021 to give to my parents as a Christmas gift that year. They are in their 80's and they left it in the box until April of this year (2023). When they used it the first time last month it started right up. My mom used it for about two hours, turned it off to take a lunch break, came back out, started it up and no pressure. The pump had failed after only a few hours of use. She tried to see if Sam's Club would swap it but they don't take anything back after 60 days. Even though it had only been used once it was purchased over a year but so she called Simpson to see if they could help her in some way by maybe covering the pump under warranty or swapping out the pump for another one. However, when she called Simpson to see if they might still warranty it or swap the pump their customer service lady was very rude and told her, "You've got to read the manual!" and terminated the call. The manual had been read thoroughly and instructions followed explicitly. The Kohler engine runs great (my 84 year old mom literally was able to start it herself) but after some additional research I've done in the last week, it appears that Simpson has issues with their non-CAT branded pumps.
Awesome pressure washer
I bought this on 4/17/2021 and have enjoyed it immensely. The pressure is great and cleaned my concrete without issues. The setup was smooth and went according to the plans. Every valve and knob had a numbered sticker on it to make it easy to follow along with the directions.
