This unit was well worth the price, powerful engine, easy to reach hose inlet and outlet which are above the frame. nice long hose of good quality, and solidly built frame. but it is not without faults. the choke and throttle are hard to reach while pulling the rope to start, it takes several pulls to start and when it does it is hard to adjust the choke and throttle before it shuts down. you have to release the water pressure on the handle constantly if it doesn't start right away. if you don't the rope becomes very difficult to pull. the plastic nozzles are cheaper quality than many competitors and break easily if you drop the wand on concrete.you will have to buy aftermarket to get better ones. The only real gripe I have is that the unit is difficult for me to move around. since the wheels are at the front of the unit you have to push it to move it, the rear bumpers hit the ground and stop forward motion, you really need a locking wheel to attach to the rear of the frame so that you can push it all around a property.

Good small unit with brand name engine. The engine is now made in china but to USA specifications with cast iron sleve which most of the China engines do not use and they do not last very long and are very cheeply made!The unit is well made and put together very well. Need a little attention to fine detail but I am very satisfied with my purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wand is A short 15 1/4 ", no .25 degree [green] nozzle tip. .On/Off ignition switch in the wrong place with the unprotected wire exposed. Like the 6.5 HP engine , 3400 pump, compact size, long sturdy Hose. And Bang for the buck. Hose to wand connect is very hard to use due to being so close to handle grip. Needs a quick connect on that hose end. Got this as A gift on sale. Would be A ten plus machine if not assembled [ in the USA] from extra parts.

This is the second Simpson pressure washer I have purchased. The first one shook itself apart because it vibrated so much it moved on its own and tumbled off the deck killing my grass. It still lasted five years. This one has a few upgrades that made the shaking far less than the old model and simple rubber feet along with big rubber tires reduced the vibration significantly. Not perfect but it doesn't walk on its own anymore. For the price as long as I get more than 5 seasons out of it, make this megashot 3,100 a decent buy. I have thousands of square feet in decking and 1000s more in siding so I use it quite a lot.

Great unit, easy start engine. Frame is properly designed to protect the pump. Great washer!

Only used once so far but worked great. I have many more things I'm going to pressure wash!!!! It is easy to put together and start to use. The requirements for the length of this review is the worst part. They should send you the extra part just for registering it.

Started on the first pull. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! If you set it up right and shut it down for storage correctly it will last a long time.

Rips through dirt and crime on concrete. You need to be careful in where you point the nozzle towards because it can damage loose material.
