Very sturdy, clear instructions, kids love it, and looks beautiful. The directions stated it would take 23 hrs for two people to put it together - I did it by myself and it took me 30 hrs. Though it would’ve been much easier with a second person ;) just a note - don’t tighten the bolts too tight or it will start to splinter.

Highly recommened! Bought the Skyfort III and have been very happy. I built it myself and it DOES take a significant amount of time and effort to build. It took me about 23 hours to build this. The only thing I didnt like is that it does not come waterproofed, it is stained but not waterproofed.

Ok, so I thoroughly read the reviews and was plenty prepared to work on it for a while. Yes the wood splits terribly, yes it takes FOREVER!!! So I got it on Saturday afternoon, worked on it until dark, then from 10am Sunday til dark, Monday from 8am until 4pm, then 7pm until dark, Wednesday from 5pm until dark and the only thing left is to finish anchoring it to the ground. Some parts did not line up right so there were gaps. The directions were fairly simple to follow except when telling you to "note hole locations" then never specified which way those holes were supposed to face, so there were a couple boards we had to turn around. Some of the holes didn't line up so we ended up drilling our own holes. We used wood filler to fill the splits in the wood for now but I'm going to just have to replace it eventually. Its wise to lay everything out because some of the numbers on the wood are impossible to read. Tried to upload photos, but that function seems to be broken right now

My friend and I have building experience. This took us 6hrs on day one + 10 to 12hrs of me working solo to complete. We used the paper instructions, but the app was very cool and came in handy for a couple of sections where the image wasn't 100% clear. For me it was too hot to keep my cell outside with the instructions as it would have overheated. Day one we had all the parts organized on the lawn, but we didn't have the hardware organized. We probably lost about an hour of work just looking for the right pieces of hardware with each step. Before starting day two I took 20 mins to sort ALL hardware by color coding and labeling with much bigger numbers. The build after that went SIGNIFICANTLY faster, even though I was solo at that point. DO NOT try to put the twirl slide together solo. That is the one part you need assistance with no matter your experience level. It is just too big and awkward to hold. In the end, we have 0 missing pieces, and 0 damaged parts, other than the ones we damaged. For the damaged hardware we had more than enough spares to not hold us up (stripped screws/bolts). So far the kids love it, and want to play on it day in and out. Next step is to stain, then plan out a rubber mulch bed. Final recommendations: 1) Build start to finish with 2 people. 2) If you have a third, dedicate them entirely to organizing/labeling the parts as you go (collecting the parts for the next step w/ the hardware already picked out). A third person could cut hours back on the full build, and they don't need to do any of the heavy lifting. 3) If you don't have a third, do no start until you are properly organized, it will save you lots of frustration. 4) Plan for a long build. Check weather in advance/get your bug spray & sun screen 5) Have multiple drills (we used 2 impact drivers for 95% of the work and 1 drill. 2 drills would be better, one with each drill bit size for quick access). This ate up 2 full battery charges so have a spare one ready if you can so you don't stop your progress.

I read many mixed reviews about assembly when I bought this play set, for that reason I wanted to come back and note that assembly took about 30 hours for my dad. He does repair and DIY work on his own homes but he's never worked in construction or a similar trade. He enjoys wood work so no complaints from him during assembly. Others reported 50 man hours needing to hire a professional to assemble the set so just FYI that wasn't necessary for us. As far as quality goes, I wish it was a little more durable. It leans and creaks with just one kid swinging on it and the pieces that fence in the crows nest and sandbox platform are easy to knock off. I would expect this after a year or 2 with wear and tear but all of these things started happening within 30 days of putting it up. It's still standing and will be used for many years so not a complete bust BUT if I could do it all over, I'd skip this purchase.

Great playset, although good luck not losing at least a couple books and/ or getting all stakes in the Oklahoma ground

Call a friend, this play set takes 30-35 work hours to assemble. The finished product is sturdy and good quality.
