Never Worked Correctly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a UN75NU6080 model. Approximately 25% of the screen (left side) does not display and never has. It would be a great TV if it wasn't for this.

We back this Samsung TV with a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty, including authorized repair for manufacturer defect, if purchased brand-new directly from an authorized seller. Before calling for a service repair, let's first try and troubleshoot the image issue with the below steps. 1. If any external devices are connected, check all input cable connections 2. If the issue persists, define exactly what is wrong with the display. For example, mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, fixed horizontal, or vertical lines. 3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels? 4. Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources? 5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test). 6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. The signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception. Should your issue persist, please contact Samsung Customer Support so we can schedule service. Not bad for the price

Don't like the “soap opera” look to the picture & can't figure out how to turn it off. No lights on the remote. Why is something always playing in the background on the Home Screen? Sound is not great, have to go to 100% on some shows

For optimal motion image performance, you may want to adjust the picture clarity setting by going to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings. - Off: Picture Clarity Settings will always be off - Auto: Picture Clarity Settings will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched - Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used. By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings for Judder Reduction, LED Clear Motion, and Noise Reduction. You can select a Sound Mode that you prefer for a content type or your listening environment.
