Customer reviews for Samsung 55" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV UN55TU700DFXZA forThe picture is crystal clear.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the clarity and quality of the picture. Our viewing distance is about 15ft which is greater than recommended but the experience is still very good. The only issue is from time to time we do see some wavering at the edges when the picture doesn't use full screen. Overall, we are very pleased and are planning to buy a second set for another room.
Great TV! The curved screen helped glare!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Smart TV was responsive, had numerous features and capabilities, it connected well with screen mirroring, and it had lots of built in apps available. It was the nicest TV I had ever purchased or owned! Delete: Then my ex's boyfriend stole it and numerous other items from my house. At the dissolution hearing she claimed it broke as soon as they got it to their new house. Please Samsung; gift me with a new TV! I don't own one anymore.
Samsung all the way buddy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, I personally use my Samsung TV for when I want to binge watch my Netflix shows or movies or just to stream music videos from YouTube when I'm in the mood to have a dance party (kidding, I usually clean my house while YouTube is playing) . #mom life. I love the HD on my TV, the picture is so life like and clear and the fact that I don't need to have the volume blaring in order to hear it. It's just fantastic! I also love how simple the TV is to actually set up, literally minutes and you're done. Especially with the help of Alexa. Which is another reason I love my Samsung, the built in Alexa comes in great! I always think it's funny whenever my daughter ( shes 4 ) tries using Alexa, because she doesn't quite understand it yet but still tries anyways and Alexa doesn't know what to think. It makes for a good laugh sometimes. I also like the fact I can control the TV using my Samsung SmartThings on my phone. It makes life less stressful and easier especially when I'm not home and can monitor the screen time or when it's bedtime for the little one. Love love love my Samsung and wouldn't trade it for anything else! I recommend it to all my family and friends and no one has complained yet. So, definitely a must have.
I love the display. Vibrant colors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TV is amazing. I love the quality you get and the value. There was a pink splotch that developed after a couple days. I restored to factory and have t had the issue again. I have had it for a couple months now and am definitely sticking with Samsung.
good
i got this when i was looking for a screen to tide me over while my laptop's screen got shipped, i don't regret it. the internal speakers are good for my purposes and are quite rich even considering the thickness of this TV (even compared to an older LN46D550F1FXZA), but my main complaint comes with the smartthings app (seemingly only on iOS though). however all works fine with the IR remote, so that's just the app at fault. bluetooth audio streaming works, airplay works, the internal web browser even was functional enough to send a message over discord. overall, if you can get this TV on for a decent price, go for it. you won't regret it.
Best Option
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it comes to Value, this is it! If you are budget minded but want a great TV, read on. Let's start with the basics... size & weight: 58” is perfect for me, big enough but not too big as to require a 2nd person to help set up. I was able to carry this in its box up the stairs all by myself. Bezels were super thin as were all other dimensions. Picture quality: 4K resolution was crazy sharp. Brightness was excellent even in brightly lit room. I also used this TV as a monitor for PC and game consoles and it was also good. Refresh rate could be better but at this price point, you can't ask for better. I use it primarily for movies and this is where it excels. Picture quality was excellent even with lower 1080 resolution. I'm no expert on technical stuff but it has the capability to upscale what you're watching to 4K. I'm sure it's not true 4K but honestly, it would be tough to tell the difference... and only if you have a side by side comparison. Most of my content is in 1080p and replacing then with 4K is not easy not to mention costly and time consuming. I LOVE that I can keep my collection of 100's of 1080p movies and be able to watch them in near 4K quality. The most important thing when shopping for a TV is picture quality and what you pay for it and this absolutely checks that box. Sound quality: Better than expected for built in speakers... I have external speaker for watching movies and definitely recommend it but for everyday media like news, sports, or YouTube videos, it's perfectly fine. Smart TV: this is a smart TV and does all the things that a smart TV needs to do. I use this function extensively with Amazon Alexa as well as Google assistant. I have several smart Cameras connected around the house and can view them all on this TV. I also use the mirror and or cast function on my phone and tablet and that works flawlessly. I also have Apple TV in 4K that I haven't set up yet but it should also work fine allowing me to mirror iOS devices. Aside from picture quality, this is the 2nd most important function and this TV continues to check the boxes. Conclusion: there is one thing that could be improved and that is the available connections. In this day and age with all the different devices that most of us use, available connections are limited. I had to add a hub in order to connect everything... but other than that, I would have to give this an overall score of 9 out of 10. But a 9.9 for value... because nothing is perfect!
Great Tv. Annoying features.
this tv has an auto input detection setting that will not turn off.this will sometimes quit working.tested with ps5 and xbox series x.sometimes it just remained on the blank input screen looking for a detection.sometimes when you switch input a message pops up that the tv is auto changing to the best settings.well i dont want to change anything.this tv also has an auto hdr feature for sources utilizing it.as we all know hdr is not entirely new but with a cheaper tv you will not get what is produced by an expensive tv.let alone hdr still struggles to be utilized properly on expensive tvs.this hdr basically dims the tv's brightness making the screen darker.netflix is horrible for this on certain titles. positives, the smartapps are fast and smooth.as the title ,great tv,annoying features.
Aaron G: Samsung TV's have Anynet+ (also known as HDMI-CEC), a feature that allows connected external HDMI devices to inform your TV when they have turned on. By default, the TV will immediately switch to this source when this happens. To turn off this function of a device connected to the TV, turn off the Anynet+(HDMI-CEC) function of the device. Also, please make sure that your TV’s firmware is up to date. The automatic dimming may be due to the ECO Sensor or Motion Lighting features. ECO Sensor automatically adjusts the brightness level of the TV according to ambient light level, reducing power consumption. If the ECO Sensor has adjusted the screen’s brightness level, you can select Min. Backlight to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. To change this setting, go to Settings > General > ECO Solution. You will see option of de-selecting the Ambient Light Detection and other power saving features. I hope this helps. Best TV Ever
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have enjoyed this TV since the moment I plugged it in... The Samsung TV Plus... is truly a Plus... the app paid for the TV itself. And its ease of use remote... YAY Samsung, Keep up the Great Work that you do. Again Thanks for a Great TV !!!
82in of pure bliss
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our 10 year old 55in Samsung after a lightning strike and figured we might as well upgrade to this mammoth. We have owned this for almost a year and I couldn't imagine downsizing back to something smaller. This model doesn't have local dimming zones like the series up, however is still amazing. We watch a ton of movies and also game with an Xbox Series X. It swaps back and forth to game mode when needed for lower latency. Its been a solid tv and great experience so far 👌
Great for the price, very pleased.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my TV for daily gaming, movies, streaming, etc. I have enjoyed the picture quality and setting options available. The only downside to this device would be the limited HDMI ports but it is manageable and not a huge downside. I would recommend this TV to anyone looking to upgrade on a budget.
