This is my "makeup" fan. I need it to apply my makeup without sweating like a beast. I use it to keep me cool while applying makeup, lashes and all. Other times, I will use it to supplement the brutal Texas summers nights when we need some extra circulation in the house. Overall, this fan works wonderfully. The remote works well and it's a pleasure to use.

The fan is extremely loud. It whistles on any speed higher than 2. It also rocks back and forth while in use. Between the loud whistling and rocking noise, it is unbearable and will be returned. I also have last year's upgraded version of this fan, which I have no problem with, so this particular fan is disappointing. You cannot talk, watch TV, or sleep with this fan turned on. Skip this purchase.

On the higher settings it’s pretty loud. It works well and I like the remote.
