[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was absolutely shocked with the sound that comes from this speaker. One of my requirements for all of my audio devices is that it has to have a lot of bass; and it definitely has the sound. The size is also a big plus for me since I like to keep my speaker with me when I travel, it fits not only in my backpack but it also fits in my purse. We do a lot of traveling as well as camping so having a speaker that is rechargeable and IPX7 waterproof is going to be super handy. All in all I am 100% pleased with the Flip Essential 2 speaker and I have already been recommending it to my family and friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Essential Flip 2 is PERFECT. Used for cleaning the house, at the beach with a group of friends, and my favorite- out on the golf course. It has PERFECT range for both carts to hear while stepping out to hit the ball. Great bass, connection is fantastic, and charge lasts for a long time. Four hours connected, and still jamming almost at the halfway battery mark. Highly recommend!!

I was hoping to see some type of improvement on this item, being it looked like a newer different model of the Flip 5. It was not. Mostly, all the functionality and performance were the same. The one thing that was worse is the battery life. On the box, it states 10 hours of performance but at what performance level. I had the essential 2 connected via Bluetooth and at 75% volume for around 3 hours, and it died. Talk about a party foul. Fortunately, I had a power outlet close by. Not an experience I would want again nor product I would take with me to an long event. After all that, I will say that the performance of this speaker is awesome. Great sound and Bluetooth range for a minimumal amount of time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ready outta the box and pairing the device very simple. Volume level is good and handles a boost quite well however a bit more bass please. Paracord is handy when I carry it along with work chores or relaxing.

This was new. My last jbl stopped charging after 8 months of use so i got this one new as a gift for Christmas. 2 months later i woke up to this constantly turning on and off, no matter what you do to do the power button it’d keep doing it. It had gone rogue, you could say. It was to the point i had i to put it had outside. Don’t get this product, because i have random Chinese speakers that last 20 years and suck compared to this garbage brand that can’t even last me 1 year. Thanks jbl, you suck!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a speaker! Sounds super clear in the high and mids and the bass response leaves little to be desired. My only qualms if I had to point any out is that there is some distortion past the 80% volume on my Moto G stylus but other than that its a great bang for your buck speaker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, the FlipEssentials2 is just another great product from JBL Harman. I've owned a number of the Flip series and I think this is my favorite. Completely portable, IPX7 waterproof, Bluetooth 5.1 and 10 hours playtime! Also, only 3 hours or less to full charge! Thankfully the charge cable is now USB-C. Thank you. Note there is No charger, just cable. Sound is surprisingly good for a 1 lb speaker. 20W and 65Hz-20kHz frequency response for the nerdy. If you want big boy bass, get a bigger speaker. Overall, this little portable has great sound. Very well constructed and you can feel the quality. You won't be afraid to take this product with you outside!

The speaker feels especially nice for someone who likes to sing along to their music, because the vocal range sounds like the primary feature to me. The bass and treble are okay, but the vocal ramge is so clear and nice... Overall it seems like a very sturdy product. I'll probably take it with me hiking this summer!

No disappointments with the Flip 2 and its concert like sound from a nearly 7 inch waterproof speaker! The speaker comes in a sturdy yet colorful package with all manuals, speaker with attached carry cord, and required USB-A to USB-C charger cord. Everything here is needed to start a small concert experience wherever you may go. The small but potent speaker is optimal for days at the park or anywhere but really shines as a go-to essential for beach, lake, or pool days as this unit is waterproof as well! Unit connects and receives signal from any device that transmits via Bluetooth such as cell phones or other Bluetooth able audio devices. Once charged the unit delivers 10 hours of enjoyment with just over a 3 hour charge time. The battery charge level is indicated with a series of micro LEDs near the power button. The frame of the speaker is light and compact but also 'slip' resistant with the rubber edges. The Flip 2 offers dynamic 20W sound that fills any room or outdoor gathering! The Pro Sound that JBL offers is nothing short of amazing as usual with all JBL products. The bass is strong and the highs are crisp. The compactness of the speaker does limit the ultra low bass that some JBL products offer (down to 65hz) but is still punchy and pleasant. The speaker is IPX7 Water Proof and designed to withstand beach days, pool parties, and even the occasional rain shower if your outdoor gathering is interrupted with a passing storm. In closing the Flip 2 offers all of the quality sound that we've come to expect and love from JBL. A great addition to any picnic basket or outdoor party kit where music shapes the event and mood! We used the unit on a local fishing trip and other people on the boat could not believe the sound emitted from this compact beast! A true asset to the JBL lineup and well worth every penny!
