Member's Mark 12-Sheet Micro-Cut Shredder

Ther is a known issue with this shredder where it pulses as it shreds.  Shreds an inch, stops, starts, stops, starts.  There is an internet fix.  There is a Youtube video that shows how to "fix" it.  The problem is, the fix is to unplug the overheating portion which is dangerous as overheating is something you don't want.  This item should be recalled or returnable, despite it being over 90 days.  This is a flaw with the product, not an issue from overuse or age of the product.  Shame on Sam's for not recalling, but continuing to sell it.

Fan for motor worked, but the gears didn’t even try. It was like they weren’t connected

First  piece of paper about a postcard size the motor seized up and blew out white smoke  took 2 days to air out the room. Would give it a negative star if I could.

Don't get.

I’ve already put this thing through the wringer. First evening filled half of aI’ve already put this thing through the wringer. First evening filled half of a 40 gal trash bag, over the next few night completely filled it. shut it old computer, discs, and credit cards just as easily as the paper it’s stuck on me twice when I ripped a manuel in a half misjudged his thickness, and when it lodged it backed itself up and pushed it up on its own. I didn’t have to pride it out. It is top quality. I’ve had ones that were more expensive than didn’t work as well.
