Good shredder for household use.

Have been using this as light duty for just under a year and the fan motor failed on the unit. It feeds 2 inches at a time, pauses, then 2 more inches and the cycle continues. The price was great, but now I'm finding out why. It's not built to last by any means. I found a way to bypass the motor, but that certainly is not ideal for longer periods of shredding.

I bought this about a month ago. It is very quiet and cuts the paper in small pieces. I was very surprised to see such a flimsy container it falls into. The shredder it self is heavy, but the container is not. It also holds a lot of static electricity, so be careful when emptying bin, as it will fly everywhere. I did notice a few times, when shredder is stopped, when i move my hand in front of the see thru window, it turns on(??)
