Purchased two of these, to activate with yearly subscriptions (with two months free). Google's playstore isn't set up for yearly payments. And although we can buy the physical product on Swann.com, there are no subscriptions offered. So now they can't be activated past personal text to one person. Maybe Swann should've figured their own payment system out, before marketing this product? I've reached out a few times, but to no avail. Also asked them to just offer me $10 Google playstore credits,per device, to make up for it. Yet no one at Swann can take a decision, or figure out how to go forward with this issue. One guy did ask me to try iTunes! What good is that, when we're a family of Android phones? Horrible suggestion! Wouldn't buy any more of these, and will be returning the ones already purchased, if no solutions are found very soon! I initially wrote this review on Swann's website. They denied it published, and wouldn't tell me why. Guess even Swann maintains their ratings, by refusing lower rated reviews!

Do not buy! Terrible product!

First, pulling up on the ring does NOT activate any type of alarm or siren like advertised. I even tried to pull the ring up with a pair of pliers, and still no alarm sounded. The button does not move upward at all. Second, once the device is paired, it drops connection constantly even when it is sitting on the table next to the phone. That makes it completely useless as a emergency notification device. Completely unreliable. Planning to return the item.

They're small enough to fit on our keys or on the enclosed lanyard. I like how easy they are to set up with the app and qr codes and so nice to have the extra peace of mind when we leave the house just at the push of a button. It's very simple, handy and something we hope we never have to use but are nice to have at hand.

Should I ever be in the position that I have to, I like that there are two options. First is to deter whoever is near me, and second is to attract attention from other people that may be able to help. A great little device for self protection.
