I never write reviews, but I feel I have to with this purchase. First of all, let me say that I really wanted to love this set, it is absolutely beautiful! The problem however is in the quality of the finish. The first set that I ordered came beautiful out of the box. I followed all directions and was extremely careful with them. After using the braising pan, I noticed a small chip. I contacted Sam's and at first they never got back with me. After I contacted them a week later they offered me a credit for only $20.00. Twenty dollars would not be enough to replace the pan elsewhere so I opted to return the set (they would not take back the pan only, I had to send back the entire heavy set back through FedEx. After doing this, I proceeded to use the new braising pan. Upon washing it after use, the handle's paint and outer coating came off. Seriously! I didn't bother contacting Sam's again because I truly don't believe they would fix the issue. Also, in case anyone thinks that the fry pan is nonstick, think again, it is useless.

This is an amazing set of cast iron. The large braiser is worth the price of the entire set. The other pieces are a nice bonus. Yes it's heavy, but so is all enamel cast iron. It heats and cooks just as you would expect an enamel cast iron pot would. If you don't have experience cooking with this kind of cookware, it takes a little getting used to. It's not at all like a Teflon pan, but you will get an amazing sear and lots of yummy browned bits on the bottom to deglaze. Do not cook on high heat. Let it come to temp for several minutes over medium low heat. You definitely need to use oil when cooking. Meat will naturally release when ready to flip.

Food sticks a lot

I bought this in December. There were five pieces. I've only used three of the pieces and for some reason the inside of the lid is chipping. I'm careful with the heat. I really love using it for cooking. I don't have a problem with sticking, but the chipping is intolerable.

I've had my set for about a week, and it cooks great so far. Something I would point out are the care instructions - specifically the part about letting the cast iron preheat with no liquid or oil for a few minutes. Thats ok with regular cast iron, but enameled cast iron WILL crack if you start to heat without having any product in the pan

Great product

I have these in white, they are beautiful and cook nicely. However in 2 weeks every piece is chipped and missing enamel. I'm very careful when hand washing and have protectors when stacking in the drawer. I literally wiped a piece of enamel off the bottom (logo) of the saute pan with my fingertip when washing. Unfortunately they will have to go back.

I love this set! They are pretty and get the job done!

I bought this in the Teal for my daughter and we LOVE it!

They're nice and easy to clean but they're super heavy
