Bought these a couple days ago and could not get them to connect. Followed all instructions and had no luck. Tried contacting support and there wasn't any. Terrible customer service. Your only option is to search threads of other people having the same problem. Don't waste your time. Returned them and will be looking for other options.

I purchased this set after getting a recommendation from a friend for this brand. Brought it home, Set it up without any problems and then after 2-3 months one camera went bad and wouldn't charge. After speaking with customer service several times and doing the same troubleshooting over and over and over, they replaced the camera. Here's where the issue is. You MUST be able to access a 2.4ghz connection to add a camera. Even though their website says the cameras will run fine on a 5ghz system, they won't install on it. So now here I sit with a brand new camera I cannot install because my router won't separate on demand. If it will run on 5ghz, why won't it install on it as well? Customer service is slow to respond, typically took at least 48 hours to hear back. When they work, the pictures are good but it's constantly alerting to things blowing in the wind or cars going down the street even though the areas are not in the coverage area.

I had to spend another $200 on a new hub that didn't come with what I bought

Easy to install and use security cameras. Connects directly to internet. Rated 4 stars because notification sound is not distinct and can't be changed.

I like most items with the Arlo essential system, I bought the four cameras.I have found the alarm is not very loud talking through the camera is very hard. you have to yell to have any sound at the camera's. This feature is not very usefull.

Very satisfied with my purchase. The cameras are very clear.
