The deli ham is really good and this is a repeat purchase, but please be aware if giving it to your children as this container of ham had pieces of bone shaved off along with the meat, as if they got too close to an attached bone when slicing. It won't stop me from purchasing it again as this is the first time this has happened, but please check the dluces before making a sandwich for your child.

Our whole family was sick after eating this ham. We’ve bought it for a long time and it’s changed to something inedible. When I discovered the texture, my son said the last container was like that. We proceeded with rinsing and made a sandwich each which turned out to be a big mistake. We were all sick. I returned it for a refund and bought another pack with an expiration date in a different month. It’s exactly the same way. I’m returning it tomorrow and I’ll never buy this product again. I do not believe this is safe to eat.

The day after opening, the meat was so slimy...I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Thinking it may have gone bad, even though it wasn't close to the best by date, bought it the next time I went and it did the exact same thing. So gross, won't buy again.

I'm a frequent purchaser of this ham, and I keep questioning myself why I keep buying it. You can count on at least a few pieces with gristle big enough to require cutting it out, and that's only if you see it before you bite into it. The deli meat at Sam's Club used to be much better quality when it had the Castle Wood brand name on it.

Not sure what happened to this product as all packaging has stayed the same, but I think suppliers have changed. That or the company has pulled a switcharoo. This used to be hands down the best tasting ham around. I would put it up against more famous deli sliced meats. Not anymore. Tastes like cheap prepackaged supermarket meat.

I have bought this ham from well over 2 years and it is great, but the recent removal of the hard cover top and its soft (non)resealable top has lead to me throwing away one third of meat due to spoilage in less than 1 week because the seal puckers and is nowhere near airtight. I'm being forced to abandon its purchase since it pointless to be forced to remove meat from the container to place it in something airtight

We like but don't love the packaging. If you don't use right away it will go bad. Other than that, we do like it.

Good Ham, however the change to storage container does not work for me. I like the snap on lid of old container to keep my ham fresh and moist.
