At one time this product was great but the last package I purchased was spoiled and covered in a clear slime before opening, 2 weeks before the due date. I didn't quite believe it was spoiled and thought maybe it was due to an additive. Rinsed it off before making a sandwich and it still made me sick. Do not buy!

We buy the smoked ham lunch meat every week and it is delicious. I am disappointed Sam’s no longer puts lids in the lunch meat. The packages do not seal tight, lids gave it an extra seal and was easier to stack

I like the price of this gam but it’s always slimy. I thought I might have received a bad batch. I’ve tried multiple times to get this stuff but the slimy texture is gross. Do not recommend.

I like the ham, but I think it’s spoiled when I buy it? The first time, I thought it was just slimy ham, but this time, it is EXTREMELY slimy. I dont know if that’s okay to eat.

This product was definitely sub par to most other Black Forest ham slices. Ham was dry and very tough. Flavor tasted stale. I won’t purchase this again. Not worth the money.

I must say this ham tastes very good. And price is unbeatable. However, (2x this has happened) after a week of being purchased the ham gets super slimy and smelly. Sadly, it’s half the package being thrown away before the exp. date.

I'm a frequent purchaser of this ham, and I keep questioning myself why I keep buying it. You can count on at least a few pieces with gristle big enough to require cutting it out, and that's only if you see it before you bite into it. The deli meat at Sam's Club used to be much better quality when it had the Castle Wood brand name on it.

Our whole family was sick after eating this ham. We’ve bought it for a long time and it’s changed to something inedible. When I discovered the texture, my son said the last container was like that. We proceeded with rinsing and made a sandwich each which turned out to be a big mistake. We were all sick. I returned it for a refund and bought another pack with an expiration date in a different month. It’s exactly the same way. I’m returning it tomorrow and I’ll never buy this product again. I do not believe this is safe to eat.
