My shredder operates more smoothly after using this vegetable oil lubricant. The instructions for its use could be much better. After removing the cap, no lubricant came out when I tried to squeeze it into the throat of the shredder. You have to snip off the top with a scissor or razor.

This oil can be found on the official fellowes website. Under the specification tab, you can find the MSDS for the oil, which is the material safety data sheet. In that pdf, you can find all kinds of information regarding the oil, including its composition, first aid, toxicity and so on. When you look at the data sheet, guess what this oil is made of! >99% canola oil! That's right, they are selling you cheap canola oil that can be bought by the gallon for a few dollars at premium. Do yourself a favour and buy regular canola oil instead, save a lot in the process. WARNING: Do not use canola oil on other brand of shredders, since their oil might be different. But for fellowes shredders, go with canola oil, you're gonna save a ton of money.

If I needed buttered popcorn, I'd buy this stuff. Wow, what a greasy mess. While I am not the brightest bulb in the box, I am far from the dimmest. I can intuit how to use certain items but this product would serve users if it detailed its proper use just a bit more graphically. Messy and smelly! This really helps to keep the paper from sticking to the blades and keeps the entire machine running smoothly.
