Easy replacement for the rail and belt. Had the new opener up and in place within 15 to 20 minutes. Shipping was fast and it arrived a day earlier than planned.

Extension kit arrived 2 days before the estimate! As I already had the opener assembled, it only took a few minutes to add the extension & new, longer belt. Works as advertised!

Just what I needed to extend the opener to work on an 8 foot door. The tracks could be secured together better, though. It's just a slip fit, and requires tension from the belt to hold it all together.

I just want to echo some of the reviews so far I buy this opener and get home put it all in and install it and it’s for a 7 foot door. I have an 8 foot door and in the fine print says I have to buy an extension kit now I’m stuck buying an extension kit and the door is Taken apart, and not operable. Yeah, not good. You’ve heard of Buyer beware Beware. Something that would eliminate this issue would be a big print right on the front of the box for 7 foot doors only if you have an 8 foot door you have to buy an extension to get it for the 8 foot door only, problem solved don’t put it in the fine print Who reads the fine print, nobody. Thanks for listening.

The package that the customer bought only says that it's for 7-ft door in one small three-quarter inch square on the packaging. I had the entire thing installed before realizing that I needed a longer section. You might want to put that in your instructions and label it better on your box because this is ridiculous.

the door struggles to open as these bars flex up down and sideways causing door to pull crooked and jam

I think it is irresponsible to have to buy an extension kit after buying the garage door and having it ready to install and then see in the fine print that it is needed for an 8ft door. Then have to wait four days for the kit to arrive because no diy store carries it.

Website said it was in stock but that’s not true. Took my money and all they can say is I have to wait until they get a shipment No idea how well it will work

We added this extension kit to the Genie garage door opener we purchased, to accommodate our 8 ft garage door. The door would not open smoothly. This extension set is cheaply made and not strong at all.

The items were as ordered but one of the rails had the hole drilled wrong. Caused problems installing to where I had to order another replacement part. Then they sent parts to wrong address after they sent original openers to the right address.
